Why don't they double up the AW tracks with a greyhound track on the inside? All the facilities already there; just need a small inner track. Or is greyhound racing on the way out? They could add in some fun nights with afghan hound racing. Throw in go kart racing as well ????????????

Dundalk have that layout and it has proved very popular on the Friday night where the dog racing follows the horses.

Yesterday, Propulsion, the third ranked trotter in the European Masters Series behind Bold Eagle and Timoko, stepped out in the G2 Arjangs Stora Sprinterlopp over the metric mile. He drew the 8 gate but came up a bit short. It was one hell of a run though. He's 4 back on the outside line. The flying Dante Boko left the barrier with a wing on every foot and made all.

Phew, thanks for clip, Cyc. The winning driver almost celebrated too soon? Harness racing certainly is not dead in Europe, there are some great trotters around at present. <ok>

In the UK, pacing is pretty much the ugly, little sibling who's not allowed at the dinner table when visitors come a calling, which is a bit of a shame. It might interest some to know that there are 8 horses listed in the British Harness Racing Club Hall of Fame, and one of those is a Canadian bred called Forafewdollarsmore. He still holds the UK Derby race record and has been awarded the BHRC Overseas Horse of the Year on three occasions. He's still a multiple track record holder. Below is his final race which took place at Portmarnock on 5 October 2013. They reeled off a cracking time. He's number 4 and settles last.

Geez Ron, this far out it's impossible to get any type of grip on the race. At this stage, the whole thing is a minefield. :)

I know but is Winx really likely to go in this? Surely 25/1 is far too big relative to the others. Or is the distance a bit too far?

The last time she was beaten was over the longest trip she has faced Ron - 1m4f. Can't honestly see he getting 2 miles, I'd be very surprised if they even entered here. Bookies dangling a fancy price trying to get some easy cash.

I'd be shocked if they went to the Cup with Winx. Chris Waller has said that if all goes well, her target will be the Cox Plate. If things go amiss and she falls behind due to injury, she'll maybe take a hit at the $10,000,000, The Everest, a 1200m race in Sydney. Winx would be a much better chance in The Everest, than the 3200m, $6,200,000 Cup.

The Everest betting has Caravaggio third favourite at 7-1, behind Chautauqua 7-2 and She Will Reign at 6-1.

Cyc; how good is the favourite Chautauqua? Had a look at the form as I expected a run of '1's' however although placed in most races not too many wins. Has already been thrashed by Winx. What is the feeling in Australia; will Winx run in the Everest or wait for the Cox Plate?

Chautauqua was something else during the 15-16 season Kenny and from memory was rated equal or best sprinter in the world, but age seems to have taken some of the zip out of him of late. I think he's early favourite for the 10 million dollar race on his past record alone, even though he won 2.5 million G1 TJ Smith. With so much money up for grabs in this race, some seriously good horses could emerge from out of nowhere, so bookies are at a bit of a loss on the race. He's won more than 8 mil in prize money so he's pretty decent.

You know as well as anyone Kenny just how hard it is to win on the road. Below shows how he gets things done. He settles last in the G1 Chairman's Sprint at Sha Tin in 2016 and comes with a wet sail at the end.

PS. Winx will be targeting the Cox Plate mate.

Chautauqua's last win. This was a crack field.

I love this animal. Valko Jenilat is poetry in motion. His extravagant front leg action and high head carriage make him a delight on the eye. This was I think a G3 race last Saturday. When the big boys step out in the near future, especially over some ground, he'll run really well. He's just getting better and better.
He's No1 and in Blue and pink.
