Last night we cooked Crab and Chilli linguine, was very nice. At the moment slow cooking in the oven is another new recipe off Goodfood. Chorizo, Pork Belly and Chickpea Casserole. Smells amazing!!
Really easy. Enjoy. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1940707/chorizo-pork-belly-and-chickpea-casserole-
Cor, little ol' Cromer is mixing it with some of the best anywhere in the world according to this article - and Resurgam would be the first to agree http://www.bradtguides.com/articles/best-seafood-destinations-in-the-world/
I hope I can post this, (internet in and out) Brisket of beef in the slow cooker with Guinness, I'll give it about 10 hours!
Just seen an EDP review of this new Hungarian place, almost next to the old N&N hospital building. No website, so no online menu, but reviews on T.A seem favourable Just wondered of anyone has tried - or knows somebody who has? Bring your own bottle of wine, presently as well but no mention of corkage charges. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Resta...hack-Norwich_Norfolk_East_Anglia_England.html
My gf just cooked me the most amazing slow roast beef with roasties, yorkies, stuffing, veg, gravy. I'm so stuffed, but I wouldn't take it back!
Thanks Cromer - there was an article on it in the EDP a couple of months ago and I've been meaning to try it out.
A new tapas style restaurant near cinema city just opened too. Another one on my bucket list http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/ole-a-t...-the-alley-becomes-tapas-restaurant-1-4963171
I wandered past (and peered intently through the huge windows) of Turtle Bay Caribbean restaurant at the bottom of Swan Lane earlier. Looks impressive decor wise. Anyone been and tried the goat curry, etc? Most mains around a tenner - but so was Wagamamas and I wasn't over the moon with that.
If it's anything like the Turtle Bay near me, it's mainly a place people go to drink copious cocktails during their happy hour. Never actually eaten there though.
I've been to the nottingham one, once. I had a spice fish dish, it was pretty good. It's not really the Mrs cup of tea so that work outing has been the only visit so far. Worth a try for something different. That said, whilst not there, my experience of Caribbean goat curry is that they should leave it to the Indians or Thais Bah!
Cheers guys. I now have Hungarian, Caribbean and Spanish X 2 on my immediate bucket list within central Norwich.
I can't remember who's the chilli fiend (KIO? GM?) but get some of this bad boy into you...with caution http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/-hottest-chili-world-killer-anaesthetic-13042313
Tesco are selling some Carolina reapers again, had one last night, bloomin hot when tried on it's own but not as crazy as I thought when eaten with pizza. Tasted similar to a scotch bonnet but hotter nice and fruity Bah!
