Nice win for Permian over Khalidi – that is two for the Derby form this week. There I was thinking we should be looking at Johnston’s runners at Redcar because Fanning has gone there not Berkshire...

No idea why Pat Cosgrave thought that travelling three wide all the way round Ascot was going to give him any chance of winning on Best Solution. Will not be doing that one again any time soon. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Ludicrously i'm on Blue Point here. I can't even remember the reasons for that selection now really, but I fancy Caravaggio, Harrys Angel, and Bound for Nowhere to fill the places. My eye is most definitely not in these last couple of days

Listening to Timeform radio. This bloke is quite annoying. Every time he needs to say the something or other (eg We go to the Commonwealth Cup - for some reason becomes the a Commonwealth Cup). Can't say "the" without saying "the a". :steam:
    One of my pet hates.

Bloody Caravaggio must have sprouted wings. According to the commentator, Harry Angel was being challenged by Blue Point and Caravaggio was not responding. Then woosh, all over <laugh>

Yes and I thought he was having to settle for 3rd place at the furlong pole. Don't know what it was like to watch

Winters a tough, tough horse isn't she. Will beat the 3 year old colts pretty easily. There nothing special but she looks to be.

    Well in all winners today.

Coral did me a favour this morning.
They were advertising 2/1 double for Caravaggio and Winter so I helped myself to that:biggrin:
    Wouldn't have bothered otherwise<laugh>

Atzeni should get a nice tune out of him. Just hope they're not on the fiddle.

Somebody beat me to the John Gosden on the fiddle gag because I did not think of it until it had won!

Well done those that plucked that one out of the racecard.

Didnt think Winter was anywhere near as impressive as she was in Ireland.

The Commonwealth Cup is turning out to be a very good addition for our sprint division as I hoped it might, proper horses going sprinting now instead of being failed milers

Wonder in hindsight if Stoute got the races mixed up for Mirage Dancer and Crystal Ocean, his only decent 3yos, a stable well on the decline.

Count Octave ran a cracker, he was screaming out as a Queens Vase horse when he ran at Chester.
