Hmmm... good point Bod, perhaps a bit premature to start this thread atm.... my missus must be right after all
Alli has already trotted out the old, "You never know", ****e, he's not loyal, clubs will pay whatever it costs them if he starts getting bored down there. Levy's a top boy in terms of getting the best money, but he's never really been able to do it the other way.
That's why I said 8th and 18th... we're still waiting on new owners, a new manager, what players are leaving and who we'll sign
I doubt we will be standing still. First off, we clearly have a number of stars that our top 4 rivals would love to get their hands on, so keeping hold of them will be a step forward for us. Secondly, there are scores of rumours about the players we are chasing. However, unlike a lot of clubs' fans, us Yids tend not to prematurely jack into our keks every time one of the hack tabloids plucks some fanciful potential fantasy transfer deal out of the air.
That VVD is an asset you don't really need to keep, you could pick up a defender for £10m abroad who would come in and deliver a mid table finish, it's pointless keeping that lad unless you plan to build a title-challenging squad around him. Send him up here on loan for the season and we'll send Shaw and Martial the other way.
And he's not the only one doing it. Should they manage to only lose Walker and win zip next season then you will see the list grow. Spurs recent improvements have come on the back of United and City now Arsenal being poor but that will change for sure.
That counts as standing still to big clubs. Probably because you've never signed one, not to say you make bad signings, but you don't sign 'fantasy' players, ever, they overlook Spurs in general.
We are getting bought by a criminally active Russian, so obviously we are going to win(buy) the League. Hopefully we can buy Carrick back for about 3 times what we sold him for, that should help us win the league too. So im saying Spurs to win the League.
Being bought by a criminally active Russian? Wow, didn't think Spuds were like that. Get Carrick immediately, he'll be your best midfielder. You're nailed on for the league anyway.
Who are Spurs after? I've not actually seen many linked. I'm sure you'll be able to tell me what names the Beeb's gossip collum has churned out this week.
Who knows? Monaco's Lemar is a name that keeps cropping up, but as usual with Levy, everything will be left until the last minute and we'll probably end up with another Sissoko!
He's a good player. I suppose Spurs fans know that more than most after what he did to you in the Champions League.
