Qur'an existed in written form as well not with one person, nor was a decision made by few people that this is the Qur'an it was verified by the muslims that it was the actual Qur’an.

No not all knowledge, only what was revealed to him by god as message to human kind...he was known as unlettered.

but the Koran didn't exist in Mohammed's time either, it was verbally passed down in different dialects and then codified decades after his death.

Some yes as it has some messages from Jesus (as) and others distorted.

All islam means is submitting your will to god, its an arabic word but message has been revealed to other prophets before and the last and final one we belive is the Qur'an.

If I wanted to pretend that god had spoken to me, it wouldn't be that hard in theory... I reckon there'd be a lot of knocking on my door happening, and I do like my peace and quiet, so I think I'll not bother.

It's not the sole domain, and I said as much further up the post when I listed some of the people of faith who are scientists and engineers, but to list them all would be ridiculous. For the last time, I'm not being smart - I appreciate there are many, many people of faith throughout history and now (yes, including many Muslim scholars and astronomers) who are far, far more intelligent than I.
