Your average hard-working male After walking up hill and down dale Once his feet become sore He'll enjoy nothing more Than a soak in a bowl of brown ale
I wonder if Beppe liked beer To give his tired feet some nice cheer Lager or stout Get rid of the gout If so, he could come back right here.

Morning all, much cooler this morning with the cloud cover, but that is due to break later and temperatures will rise to a much more comfortable 30°C. The main route into town has a road surface that has been patched countless times, and within a few days the patches have to be patched. Signs have gone up to say that the road will be closed the first week of July, so I guess they are planning to remake some of it. It does mean a long diversion while they are doing it, so I think that I might well be changing my baker that week.
I think I'd make an effort to get there more often if this went ahead - I find sitting at a football match to be unnatural, and not to mention downright uncomfortable. And don't start me on having to stand up because those in front of you stood up every time the ball comes near The Rookery... I don't get there very often now for those reasons - plus the fact that I haven't actually seen us win there for some considerable time. Every match I've been to since coming back from Oz has ended either in defeat or in a draw. In fact, the last time I saw us win there was 12th May 1984 - perhaps I'd better stop my occasional visits...
I voted No. The 1881 will be all standing (which i like trying to give it my all) but i have to rest the back every 10 min
Some of us would probably appreciate a lying down area...especially after a few of the home performances
As someone who loved the old Vic terrace, standing seems so much better, but Mme at 5'.1" didn't see a thing last time she went there. Afraid it is a compromise these days. A seat and a view for her at least means I get there. Looked at the fixtures for my next trip over and it seems as if there will not be a game on.
Completely in favour of standing - I want a place where I can go and have a fag at half time as well !
If Carlsberg made stadiums! I have to go to the gents and cane one very quickly after burning a match to get the small away at the start after the ban came in. One good thing here, you can drink beers and smoke in the stadiums. What´s it like in Germany?
