No And there is no debate with PNP. Me and you talking about science and religion he is all about ramadhan, heat and infatuated with anjem It's always a long process bug given enough rope he hangs himself and yes as childish as it may sound victory is sweet and has him beeling
No but I once read a book by Whitney Streiber, so I've read my quota of crackpot theories for one lifetime.
Ask each person and they will give you a different version of the essence of God. IMO all the books make him seem a bit of an idiot who can't decide if he wants forgiveness or revenge, because the personal agendas of the writers are involved. Jesus was dead 400+ years Before the bible, Mohammed 40+ years before the Koran, who knows what was changed. The Bible, Koran and Torah have logic fails, I don't think a supreme being would make such pitiful mistakes and leave it open for interpretation, in fact I think God did the opposite, the rules are quite clear: Don't kill, don't steal, don't covet, don't lie, don't cheat. simple rules, most of the religious books seem to be more concerned in creating rules so we can circumvent the killing one. at least, that's the way I see it.
Again, keep up - just the ****ing eye, not the whole universe. The (19th century) reaction by Theists to Darwin was the eye - only God could create the eye. We now KNOW, no matter what you and your fellow shaman on here try to claim otherwise, is that the eye (or an eye, to be more accurate as different life forms such as insects have evolved different approaches to the same adaptation) that evolution and natural selection is perfectly capable of evolving eyes (and taking them away again for some cave/darkness dwelling animals). No God is needed in the process, but whether God exists or not was never part of that argument - just whether God only could design the eye. Just on that last point though, why did God 'design' that eye arrangement on plaice and halibut and suchlike? If He put them there in the first place as bottom dwellers, wouldn't it have been easier to just put both their eyes symmetrically on the top of their heads?
Yep. Pisshead conspiracy theorist, IIRC. Seemed to upset a lot of people. Not sure what happened to him.
The Qur'an was written in Muhammad's lifetime Here in lies the problem people don't have knowledge of the subject matter
Wasn't just religious people who had issues with the eye. Its still discussed in evolutionary circles and your approach is to take it as a given Your doing a PNP
You've given up. You can't discuss anything rationally, so you just attack anyone that disagrees with you and declare victory. It's very childish and about what I'd expect, frankly.
You should probably spend less time playing chess with pigeons and more time reading that book about facts on your shelf dude.
Just quote me one evolutionary biologist or archaeologist who doesn't accept natural selection and the eye. ****, even the molecular biologist who christened my daughter, Father Higginson here at York, an utterly committed High Anglican, convinced me that evolution was the most wonderous scientific work ever, and that darwin was the greatest scientist to ever exist. He did see the presence of God at every turn in the universe, mind, just not scientifically.
That's how I live my life, for the most part. I only start to dismantle religion when I'm denied my own opinions, or I see one religion attacking another.
The eye "problem" was solved 70 years ago. We do witness various steps in eye complexity in various organisms. All the way from simple light detection to vision resolution and complexity far beyond our own.
