Ian Milne has been caught out misleading Ipswich Town Football Club supporters on the clubs wage bill. He repeatedly claimed that the clubs wage bill was one of the highest and most competitive in the EFL Championship whereas it has been revealed that ours was 6th lowest in the league this season. The clubs wage bill, which included over 50 members of playing staff, over half of which rarely featured has been continually used as an excuse by Marcus Evans and mouthpiece Milne to raise ticket prices and implement the 5 point plan to reduce expenditure at the club. Milne arrogantly told supporters few months that "Marcus has put down that five-point plan. That’s still very much in play." and that neither of them will consider their positions. The club is looking to reduce its wage bill further this season and there is only £3million in fees available for signing players throughout the summer. In terms of transfers this season our expenditure was just £1.42m in 2016/17, one of the lowest in the Championship. Due to the budget cuts, the quality of footballers being brought into Ipswich by Mick McCarthy has dropped and the club finished 4 points off relegation as a result of Evans's poor leadership, the lowest finish in nearly 60 years. Season Ticket sales have now plummeted and the club will use this as another excuse to implement further cuts moving into the season ahead, so watch this space..
Bloody hell just when you think things can't get any worse Just what are these clowns doing I mean this latest relevation is bordering on being criminal at worse or mismanagement of the highest order Surely the league should investigate this matter more deeply, what else are they hiding When will this all end
Very worrying times, can't tell if ME has just got bored with his toy or if there are more cynical reasons why the Club is being run the way it is?? Neither bodes well for us poor souls who continue to support the team we love.
I absolutely hated Ian " Chelsea fan " Milne the day I met him and he absolutely had zero love for me when I asked him what he's doing with us when he bleeds Chelsea.... Not surprised he's lied. Mess mess f ing mess.
Something just had to be wrong, nothing added up and most of what we've been fed is total bullshit. We've financial fair play, won't break the pay structure, while we scratch around looking for non league rejects, while the truth was so obvious to an idiot that we just weren't going to spend any money. All this nonsense about having bids in for good players was a blatant lie that's why we never signed any! I just wish this bunch of spivs would get out of our Club, that's the only way forward to re connect with our fantastic fans. We lost our last three games without scoring a single goal against poor opposition not including Sheffield Wed, that's how poor our squad is and with no investment it will get worse.
Whatever we think of Mick, why should he forfeit his compensation package? Over to Evans on that one. As for Monk, sure if Mick were to go I'd happily have him.
To be honest the only thing we do spend big money on is managers..........Evans has to buy there silence.
