The PL clubs whose players have put in the most yards should be harassing Southgate not to be picking those players in the starting XI for the France game.
South Korea has beaches too! True, the beaches are all in Busan, and I recently saw a documentary saying that bad things happen if you catch a Train to Busan, but still...
As tempting as it is to revel in the news that a certain failed gameshow contestant has lost its job at LBC, I thought I'd share this instead: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...irport-story-anecdote-signature-a7752636.html
Danny Rose was interviewed last night on 5 live with jenas & co. He actually has some interesting things to say about Spurs and his opinions on certain matters. It was nice not to hear the usual generic responses that you get from most footballers in interviews. He stated that the club need to try and make a marquee signing this summer, and indicated that the marquee player would need to be in a role similar to that of Son, Dele, and Eriksen. In addition, he said that we could to with a bit more squad depth. He also said that he wishes he'd had Poch coaching him since he was 18, as life under redknapp was very difficult for him. Harry Kane only has Tottenham on his mind, apparently. He wants to lead the team into the new stadium and break every record at the club. He also stated that there may be the odd player who may fancy a change and it could be time to move on. (Hmm... I wonder who that might be?) His comments certainly made it seem that he's not going anywhere, though. Just hope Levy was listening. Many of his comments were things we've all been saying as fans for some time. It's over to Levy now. No more Sissoko's, but genuine exciting young talent, and 1 or two proven squad players to either improve the first X1 and/or add depth.
Am at the Valley (charlton) was Spurs v Blackburn playoff final. On the 33rd minute I was telling my 14 yr old and Mrs RCL that our number 10, Martin, wasn't doing too well...2 mins later she set up our goal The RCL factor us alive and well! 1 nil at ht. They play out from the back, use wing backs and press well...it's like watching the men's team. COYS
The women on Goon 606 may have a new St Totts day to celebrate. Well, for a while anyway. Diego, pass the news on to them.
I like April/May and August/September when we get the crossover between summer and winter sports. Interesting weekend of sport. Kell Brook fought at a silly weight, but Eddie Hearn got a good payday - so that's fine. England's ODI team has gone from laughing stock to world beaters in no time - great performances v SA. The F.A.Cup Final isn't what it used to be - I watched the cricket. Well done Blackpool on promotion via the glamorous lottery route. Vettel back on top in F1. The Monaco GP is just an indulgence to the rich. Why race there? You can't overtake on a street circuit like that, so the only interest is qualifying.
Wasps lost the most ridiculous game in sport. Having won the league, they lose it in a cup match? The Gooners would be PL champions every year if you could finish fourth and then go on to win it in a knockout competition. Complete madness!
Yeah, rugby has got it wrong (both codes). You don't play a full season over seven months and the reduce the competition to a few cup games to find a winner. If you've earned it over a season, you deserve to be champions. If Liverpool had won the title in similar circumstances, having trailed Chelsea by more points than there are personality types in the Myers- Briggs classification system, I'd be jumping off a bridge....
