What a fckn amazing fight! Incredible. Respect to both fighters. I really thought AJ was a goner there. What character to get back up and beat Klitschko.
Agree, it was a great fight. Joshua should have learned a lot from this fight as he's not been tested like that before. He looked out on his feet after the knock down in round 6 and he didn't look that great at the end of round 5 either to be honest. If Klitschko had landed another blow I don't think he would have got up again. But he hung in, got his composure back and did okay in the later rounds. Klitschko deserves a lot of credit, though. Who's next up for Joshua then? He surely should be looking to unify the titles within a couple of years?
Great fight and great night...... He has come of age tonight but massive respect to both... Awesome stuff.
Great fight put on by two great competitors. The great thing is AJ, Fury, Wilder, are all capable of beating each other. You then the oldies like Haye and Wlad. Unknowns like H Fury Ortiz and Parker. Not a time for hating, just appreciating that the heavyweights is competitive again. Lots of different styles. Last night was a great fight. If you didn't enjoy that you're not a boxing fan. Still think he carries too much muscle. It causes him to gas. Showed great heart though. Wlad will regret not putting him away and A J would say same about when he punched himself out losing his head. I thought Wilder did himself no harm by respecting them as fellow boxers. You get knobs like Fury tweeting backhanded compliments like a ****tard. When he's under 20 odd stone and mentally stable he can chat ****. He is no one at the minute because of state he is in. Joshua beat a much better version of Wlad, he actually threw some punches and moved! The respect between the fighters was good to see and a much better advert. Joshua seems keen on Fury. I think he knows the vast majority of boxing fans would love to see him spark him out. I just think for all the bloke is a knob he would be an awkward night for him. However I just can't ever see Fury being in a good enough condition for that kind of fight. I could see a fat mess getting rolled early.
Vlad was fit as a fiddle and you can tell he trained hard to get into that shape aswell. He lost to Tyson because he under estimated him and he didn't make that mistake again. I think k vlad made a lot of friends last night and both boxers deserve massive credit. That fight had everything. Same as you I thought Joshua's legs had gone in the 5th and 6th and he looked starry eyed. Vlad just didn't have enough in the tank to finish him. Joshua will need to lose some mass I think. Carrying all that muscles wastes energy and there's no need to be a hulk when your opponent is a lot lighter.
What a fight! Classic. Klit came to win. He was in really good nick. I'm surprised Joshua came through the 5th / 6th. He was gone for a while there. Fury would have a ridiculous amount of work to do to get back to a place where he is prepared enough to fight him. Really the only proper opponent for him at the moment is Wilder but I don't think his draw is big enough at the moment.
When you have so much muscle mass, oxygen travels through the blood at a much slower rate than usual and during the latter rounds AJ's must have felt like lead. Kudos to both!
