I am soooo buzzing about this fight. It's huge. Simply cannot wait. it will be a massive test for Joshua. I know people are talking about Klitschko's age and not fighting for 18 months etc. But he is an absolute pro and with his experience he should not be underestimated. This is going to take Joshua into territory he's never seen before. I just hope he shows everyone that he IS the finished article and beats Klitschko on style. Joshua can hopefully have a very long and successful career as world champion but this fight could be pivotal. Come on Anthony!! Oh and my brother has a ticket to see it live at Wembley - the lucky bugger.
hate klitschko man could of fought at xmas, but the greedy **** want to hold out for the money had things so much his own way through the years ....hope he gets knocked clean out but i am not sure mind
Possibly. I've no idea - don't keep up with who is who - or who is fighting who - over there. Just know they're all massive with forearms like calves.
Money is a huge factor in these big fights and Klitschko has to be sensible - this could well be his last big payout. So needs to be right. But yeah, I also hope Joshua beats him convincingly. A KO would be great.
I expect Joshua to finish him in 5 rounds. If it goes past 5 rounds I think Wlad will knock him out. Worst betting medium ever this one. Joshua is vulnerable despite a reluctance on his side of things understandably to acknowledge it. White had him glassy eyed. If he doesn't get Wlad out of there, I don't believe he has the engine or skillset to last the 12 and outbox him. On the other side of things he has risen to every challenge regardless of that vulnerability, and he has a bomb of a right hand. He is extremely quick for a heavyweight, and should he land flush its goodnight. He is also getting better and developing, if that curve continues then he will be better again. I am assuming on Wlads last two fights that the thing that happens to all boxers has happened - he suddenly got old overnight. He has looked a husk of his former self. The only thing I would say is when he did eventually let his hands go against Fury, Fury was in all kinds of trouble. If Wlad comes off the break re-energised then I could see a lot of disappointed British fans on Saturday. Fury beat him mentally before that fight. The big question is, aside from that mental barrier he had, was there and is there anything left in the tank? Its a fascinating fight. If Wlad has got something left, then Joshua has taken a helluva leap up in class. I just about fall on the side that Wlad is too old though. Mentally, yes he believes. Yes he can still knock any man out. Can he see a lightning quick heavy handed heavyweights punches arriving in bunches though? The first one might miss but what about the 2 or 3 after that? I'll side with youth on this one.
Joshua for me. Worlad is past it and will not stop all the bombs coming his way. Not too sure distance in fight will be too relevant as Worlad will tire. Firstly, due to age and, secondly, he hasn't fought in a long time in boxing terms. Worlad has the experience and ability but I see it as one fight too far and one last big pay day for Worlad.
Agree. It's really intriguing this one. I tend to think Joshua has too much for an ageing Klitschko, but you just never know - especially at heavyweight where it only takes a second to change a fight. I certainly wouldn't write him off and I hope Joshua isn't over confident in dismissive way. Head and heart say Joshua but for once I might need the reassurance of an ACS insurance bet.
Both looked in great shape at the weigh in. Joshua 10lb heavier and at his biggest ever fighting weight. Klitschko the lightest he's been in 6-7 years. Hoping to be agile enough to avoid the bombs? Can't wait.
I don't watch much boxing but when I saw Joshua in the past he looked quick and light on his feet for such a big lad, but I thought he left himself a bit open at times going for the big shots so if Klitschko can take advantage of that then he might have a good chance. Otherwise I would expect Joshua to win if Klitschko fights anything like he did against Fury. Should be a good contest though either way.
Yep he's going to have to box a fair bit smarter as Klit will take advantage otherwise. I think Joshua will have too much if he has done his work properly though. My best mate has managed to get a seat I think only a few rows back from ringside.
