8 Million on a striker? What's that going to get? Mags paid 5.5m for safc reject to sit on the bench. Back on that other planet there Parker are we?
I wasn't blaming Moyes for the M'Vila saga mate, I accept it was out of his hands, however there are managers who will insist on certain players regardless of what it takes to get them, top 6 teams being a perfect example. If Pep or Mourinho need a player, they gets them, such is the gulf between us and the top 6. Without doubt, Moyes was dealt a **** hand for sure, however I reckon BSA would have done better with the current squad than DM has.
Pointless argument, we'll never know. Though I judged when the Summer window closed and said the squad wasn't good enough. Doesn't mater who was in charge to me, We're the worst squad in the league by quite a stretch imo. Don't any manager would fair well.
Yes you can cos we'll just never know will we? he was a decent player for us, but we didn't strengthen enough, would he alone have made that much difference? I doubt it.
Don't believe i've said anywhere he'd have turned us into decent outfit, in fact ive I've been careful and grounded on how much of a difference he'd have made.
Our loss, Palaces gain, it will be interesting to see how it works out medium to long term, but it cant be denied that he has transformed Palace in a few weeks, just like he did here. Moyes fills me with dread, he just adds to the gloom and it's contagious.
Good player that's the point. Yes the bloke got injury problems but I'll offer him a year. I understand why people wouldn't tho.
I'll be honest, i'm a big advocate of continuity and sick of this constant manager merrygoround, that's what's got the club in the mess that we're in right now, but DM just doesn't fill me with confidence. (for next season) But, we cannot continue sacking managers when the reality is that the club are just not performing as a club, both at boardroom level and on the pitch, it just isn't working. So where do we draw the line? I don't have the answers and i don't think DM does either, neither does Short. Now that it's all but certain that we're down, i'd rather we got a manager in who is able to build a team to get out of the fizzy pop league and just stick with him. Personally i'd give Roy Keane another crack at it, but that won't happen, we'll be stuck with Moyes and his negative ways. He may turn it round or he could make a right arse if it and we languish in the championship for a few years. Who knows eh?
I luv the bloke, he's a cut above anything we have now, but do we need another crock? could he hack the fizzy pop? TBF for the price we paid, i'd keep him for another season.
