We didn't beat Palace at home......we are about to get served a big piece of humble pie. It was iNo way both Utd and Arsenal will lose....and we will win......it's the latter I have least confidence about tbh!! I might put £20 on the opposite in a maximum jinxing effort. £20 on Utd, Arsenal and Watford. Should do the job <ok>

Anything other than a Man City win takes a top four finish out of our hands.

Having said that, I'd prefer we just win our last four games and earn it ourselves.

the reality is as of today... it IS out of our hands totally irrespective of our 4 games.

City have 2 in hand and are 2 behind. so they can lose to utd and still win all thier games and get 4th
Utd are 2 in hand and 3 behind. EVEN IF utd lose to city they can still catch us as the reality is the G we once have has all but evaporated and one good 4-0 v swansea this weekend will probably do utd.

Right now IMO LFC have boned themselves big style. If we'd even drawn v palace we would have had a better chance but as we did not we have ened up needing utd to **** up TWICE.. and frnakly its not happening.

LFC blinked first but utd won v cheslea and then went and beat burnely after 12mins in midweek so Utd deserve their place if they keep that up.

Since mane went down we have been ****ed... nobody wants to say it and we did show a bit of fight v stoke and westbrom but... well sorry but utd and city's form is a bit better and we just are outof legs and options.

THE SAME THING THAT BIT US IN JANUARY AND FEB IS BITING US AGAIN AND FRANKLY IF THERE WERE TARGETS AND PLAYERS AVAILABLE IN JANUARY WE FAILED TO BUY AND ITS KILLED US FOR NEXT SEASON TOO

thanks i know you know i am right.. especially when thats the only thing that can be said

    For LFC to get 4th

    IMO.

    1. City must win tonight (eithad)
    2. Utd must draw to arsenal (emirates)
    2. Utd must lose to spurs (WHL)

So thats a grand total of 1 point out of 9 there...

I am assuming utd will basically hammer swansea, southampton and palace.

Ergo... this gives utd a maxium of 10 points more out of 18.

Utd would then be on 73 points requiring us to get 74.

thats 8 points out of 12 for us... which in our state is possible but not easy. If Utd beat city that then becomes us needing to win all 4.

IF spurs and arsena do what I've said above.

I would say LFC need to win 3 and hope... and thats not easy.

Winning our own games would be ideal but remember we have not won five games in a row this season. If we do not throw in the white towel we can do it.

I think the players will give their all but be crying on a pitch some place before the end.

the simple fact is we are out of options.

We don't need to have a five gane winning steak. We just lost our last match and there are only four games remaining

    so

    watford A
    Southampton H
    Westham A
    Boro H

Honestly... we've seen southampton give cheslea a bit of a game but lose 4-2. can we see utd getting more than a draw?

Boro seem gone.. so last day IF LFC need a win to get 4th we probably can manage something there

But then theres west ham away.. honestly we are all over the place.

So.. I reckon if we don't beat Watford its all over from there

Newcastle really did us a favour with Mareaux... Arrested as part of the tax fraud.
Looks like any cheap French player or player bought from France in the last 5-10yrs could be slightly dodgy.

I can't disagree with the buying bit as I've (and a few others) been saying this in January during the window. And as for Mane we all knew that we would struggle without him. Look at the stats with and without for goodness sakes. Any sane person could see what he contributes to the team and that without him, we struggle to score and win.

As for the race to 4th. let's be honest and say at the outset that no matter what happens today City are in. They have as kind and soft a run in (after the derby) as we have. So all they need to do is to match our results.

So that leaves one place between us, the red mancs and Arsenal. I see Arsenal as a long shot as they have to play United and Spurs and will proably drop points . As for the red mancs, they simply have to win and if they do that they'll be full of confidence and will probably get results against Arsenal and even Spurs. Lose and they'll be demoralised.

But we still need to do our bit. All this speculation can be thrown in the bin if we do not win against Watford. A draw would simply not be good enough and would immediately bring Arsenal back into contention.

I see the Watford game as absolutely critical. Even more so that tonight's game. Lose or draw we can say goodbye to top 4 and CL football, even though we still got 3 matches left. And to be honest the way we have been playing I am not confident we'll get a result against the Saints even at home. West Ham have a habit of making life difficult for us and it has not been easy 3 points for us in the past.

If you look at it carefully, you'll find that there is no consolation in those rivals playing each other. Because whoever comes out the winner between Arsenal and United will likely get the last place. Spurs and City are already guaranteed a place no matter what happens IMO.

I think city have a n easier run and a lot of players that can get them goals yes. they are probably in.

Arsenal.. **** them they won't catch utd.

Its man utd who are going to take 4th. As i said i can see them smashing 3 of the 6 sides and beating our GD so we need them to lose AND then lose again to have any hope if we win 4 games 1-0... which we are not capable of really.

We just have not got the legs left nor the players to score 2/3 goals without mane.

but some lads are trying... firmino manned up and he's got himself on the pitch and struggled through injury and scored. Cotuonho is trying everything. Can is trying.

The reality is milner looks shot. clyne is Jekyll and hyde.. started well v palace then reverted to back passing... Lovren is an ass... matip doesn't look like he's fit.

wijnaludm is best at home and away he vanished.

    it really is odd.

    Mingolet has given his all.

So its not like the players can really be faulted for not trying.. we just aint as good or have as many options as others.
