The Canaries are the last team to visit Elland Road (unless by some miracle the White can sneak a play off place) for the 2016-17 Championship campaign. By their own admissions, Norwich have had a disappointing season, but have started to turn things around following the departure of their beloved Manager Alex Neil. Their rich vein of form include a 7-1 demolition of Reading and a 2-0 away win at Brighton (albeit by 2 x Stockdale own goals). If recent speculation is to be believed Norwich are carefully monitoring the situation of Garry Monk, though it would not surprise me if a few of the Leeds Utd's players were not on their wish list too. Leeds fans will not just be hoping for a home victory, but for Brentford to beat Fulham and Mick McCarthy's Ipswich to beat the Wendies. Leeds will be boosted by what is expected to be a sell out (38,000) crowd. Garry Monk has some tough decisions to make. Does he :- 1) Bring back Taylor and drop Berardi due to his attacking qualities 2) Recall O'Kane in the centre of the park 3) Play Doukara alongside Wood 4) Drop Wood in favour of Silvestri (only joking) 5) Give Barrow another chance to show what he can do down the wing. Will Leeds knock the Canaries of their perch or will Norfolk's finest put Leeds out of their misery once and for all!!!
Morning all... I would revert back to the team that was doing well earlier in the season... I can't get myself excited about this one though although that will change if we find ourselves winning and a couple above us both behind.
Morning all. All the feelings of a dead rubber this one. I see we've signed some ex director of Real Madrid who was in charge of marketing there. Clearly did a great job with them as they are a half billion in debt. He'll see some changes when he arrives in yorkshire
Maybe not such a great appointment......... New Leeds United director Ivan Bravo is remaining with the Aspire Academy in Qatar, something which raises question marks over how involved he will be able to be at Elland Road. But according to the Press Association, Bravo is not leaving the Aspire Academy and is expected to continue to be based in Doha, Qatar. As such, there are question marks over how involved Bravo can be in the strategic direction and planning of Leeds on a day to day basis, with his role likely to be more that of a consultant.
Morning quick pointer on johnny bravo he left real in 2010.by all accounts he did a good job.i think it is a positive step which along with no increase for season ticket holders is progress.
Maybe thats all we need someone to look us over from time to time.shows to me someone is pulling the strings already.
Progress for me wakey will be if we tog out with a better team when season starts in August Doesnt bother me what consultants are involved once the playing side continues to improve like it did this year
Wouldn't it be nice after the last 15 years to have someone on the board who loves the club as much as the supporters?
Thats the next step i am waiting for Eire .i would like to see all signings bar the odd loan if needed by end of June.cellino gone for good will cap the lot for me.
I see Huddersfield have now qualified for the play offs with a victory over Wolves.I remember a while back how we were talking about some of the top teams having a blip, and how we could possibly take advantage and make autos, unfortunately only one of the top seven teams did .Cant see many of our top players staying, but we should go all out to keep monk (in my opinion) and let him build some solid foundations with the money raised, from Wood etc,and realy go for it next season.
I snt it amazing how every summer for as long as I can remember we've been awaiting the next great thing. New owner, new investors, new improved players
True but we are Leeds United fans, the best in the country, where many other teams would lose their fans we MOT, and look faward to next season, where once again we are optimistic about the future (apart from one or two) not mentioning names and no matter what, look to better things ahead as WE ARE LEEDS UNITED
Morning all. Personally I'm still depressed after the last 2 games and don't know if I'll bother going on Saturday. Yes it's that bad. At the moment I don't want to see football, talk about football or even think about football. However...I'm blaming Jannson. He rocked the boat, unsteadied the ship, upset the apple cart and it has always been all about him ever since he signed (joke). His on field behaviour has been questionable at best until he deliberately tried to get booked against Wolves at which point it became disgraceful. If we can somehow make some money from his temp to perm deal then fantastic but I couldn't care less about him anymore and would rather we got rid.
Bravo is a strange one especially if staying in the ME as he must only be an associate Director. It could mean he is our man for discovering top talent. We shall see, but he obviously knows rad quite well so maybe going to generate some cash for the club too. Bit sick about udders as it should have been us, but the wheels fell off just like in 2011, but maybe not quite as bad. Think Grayson has had a great season too at PNE as he will have had less cash than us and almost made it. So the jury's out now until we see some real action at the club, so we can judge level of ambition. Just hope the team play some attractive attacking footy from the outset for a change and bury Norwich. We can speculate all we want about maybe having problems behind the scenes since Xmas but we wont find out until the summer and it may have been just an assumption from people like me and there has been no problems.
Fancy joining our meet-up on Saturday, Jammy? At least you'd get something positive out of the day that way!
Thanks WJ. If I go will definitely be drinking as drowning the sorrows is inevitable unfortunately. Where is everyone meeting post match ?
