He promotes a crass caricature of Hull as an RL-crazy town full of trawlermen who only eat fish and chips. It degrades our city to have people think he comes from here.
Prescott was once in the Directors box at BP . The game was , I think , against Mansfield or Chesterfield and as he was a guest of the opposing chairman he wasn't there to support City .
Surely he is an expert on jags and could have some good advice on the pros and cons of buying/owning one.
I saw AJ at a City home game last season. Don't agree with everything he says/does but deffo seems like a decent bloke.
He's got a 32 inch plasma in his office. When he gets a document up on that baby he is really looking at that document.
No disrespect to the celebs as they've done well, but we don't seem to be particularly well stocked in that department do we. I wonder how many rants Stelling would have had if he were a City fan.
I'd never heard of Prescott before tonight but he sounds impressive. Knowledge of pies ... that's good, I like pies - both savoury and sweet and fruity. Unnecessary car journeys ... gas stations or car hire firms are making money. That's good isn't it? Hypocrasy ... probably not good. Marital affairs ... were they extra-marital? Makes him a hero or a **** (I suspect it's the latter). Mock Tudor beams ... sounds like the decor of a ****tily renovated pub in the seventies (that's nineteen not eighteen). Just add a few horse brasses and scampi or chicken in a basket (with chips or fries, if it was a bit pretentious) and you've got a winner.
I was there that night. I believe the reason he was really there for was not to support City but to make a claim to be in favour of supporting Brightons bid for the planning permission for building Falmer stadium. It was granted by his Government but then suspended some time later
Also thumping a protester that aimed and hit him with an egg. All caught on tv very beautifully. Had it been an ordinary member of public, he/she would have been charged with assault
