Now that you mention them, another point comes into play - parachute payments. For these 2 years, the first annual payment was £12m, followed by a further £12m the next year. Villa just received £40, and are expected to coin £87m over 3 years in parachute payments. The Championship is now awash with clubs wallowing in parachute payments. It wasn't then, so you cannot compare our achievements then to our achievement this season.Or do you disagree with that too?

Bottom line to this discussion - GM deserves another contract & there hasn't been a manager who's come near to his achievements for donkey's years. I've provided hard evidence to support this, whereas you've whined, moaned & attacked GM in any way you can think of.
