03/04/2017 : For the third time this Season AVFC has the opportunity to get 4 consecutive wins, so let our lads make it 'third time lucky' ... although I trust it to be down to good organised play rather than luck.
This is the first of 5 games where AVFC can do the double over the opposition, which of course means we have already beaten them once.

Another positive result tonight, making it four consecutive wins, five consecutive home wins and the third double of the Season for AVFC.

I finally received a ticket EMail from AVFC today ... there was one seat left in Upper Trinity Row A ... but not now, I have booked it !
Sod's Law has dictated that AVFC v BCFC and the SFA Cup Semi-Final Celtic v Rangers are both on St George's Day and both KO at 12:00 hours. No worries, I will watch the Semi-Final later, on my RTV account, hopefully celebrating a double win as I do so.

Both of the stream links I posted today were duff so I had to rely on Jeff Stelling and Co to keep me up to date with the games today. We are still waiting to see AVFC win 5 games in a row but more importantly, the combination of results last week and this means that Aston Villa cannot reach the play-off places.

That is two consecutive 1-3 defeats now, in a winless run of 3 games ... this has been a Jekyll & Hyde season. It was a good equaliser from Grealish, but these events are all too rare !

Watching the game from Upper Trinity Row A, I was thinking that this was drifting to a 0-0 under the 'Old Pals Act' ... until Steve Bruce introduced Gabby Agbonlahor on 58 minutes, afterwhich the game exploded into life and Gabby scored the winner too. My man of the match though was Jedinak, who seemed to be everywhere and Hutton had a good game too. The attacking tactics need to change as Scott Hogan was alone up front and always had to contend with 2 or 3 opposition defenders, with no teammate to pass the ball to. No wonder he finds scoring difficult !

AVFC go above par again, with GD now 0 and retain 12th place, on 61 points.

27/04/2017 : Many Villa Fans are hoping AVFC will lose this game and see Blackburn escape relegation at the expense of Birmingham City in consequence. I say, be careful what you wish for; if Villa lose and Birmingham win their match, then all that really matters is that AVFC will have dropped 3 points. I want Aston Villa to win this match, like I want AVFC to win every match, irrespective of the situation the opposition are in, or whatever predicament the Dummies find themselves in.

The stream was stuttering in the 1st half, but worked better in the 2nd half. The defeat some Villa Fans wanted happened, but elsewhere BCFC won their match 2-0, so AVFC has gained no benefit whatsoever from the results today. AVFC remain 12th, with GD now -1, on 61 points.
Despite lots of possession AVFC failed to utilise it positively, passing square and back instead of advancing, which is no way to score goals and win matches.
