    Joey who???
The only thing overrated is Joeys intellect.
Far better footballers than he could only dream of becoming, have praised Kante and his performances.
Stick with the betting Joey, and leave football to people who know how to play it.

    <laugh> good old average Joe..

btw - is it me or Cahill looks like Akinfenwa nowadays.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adebayo_Akinfenwa

looks, more of a body builder than footballer.

    Seriously,
If cahill plays as a striker he can be a major contender for POTY.
However as a defender he shouldn't even get into our TOTY.

I've never before seen - at top flight level - such a skill as Kante possesses. Kante is able to dispossess an oncoming player of the ball - without fouling - with the opposition player seemingly totally unaware. Kante has done this in every game I've been to this season.

Stan has been our reverse Jinx all season.
Said there was no way we would beat Jose's United = We end up nearly 20 points clear of them
Said Alonso was no good = He put in 2 MOTM performances in a row, scoring 3 goals in the process <laugh>
You just know Cahill is gonna play a blinder now :p

Arguably should have won it last season too. Best DM in the world for the past 2 seasons. France would have won the euros if he'd been playing.

I'd say better than Makelele, but your better judges than me on that <ok>

Indeed, Kante is truely gifted and astonishing in his ability to dispossess oncoming players. In recent times, apart from signing Drogba and signing Frankie Lampard jnr from West Ham the signing of Kante from Leicester looks to be one our best all time signings. I stand to be corrected but Kante's abilities are astonishing in my mind.

Beauty of the game is - he tries only simple things & succeeds 99% of the time.

He is helped by a mean engine mind.

Tricky and maybe too early to compare Maka and Kante. Kante has had 2 wonderful seasons where as Maka had a whole career at the top. Plus Maka played in an era when 1 defensive mid was the norm rather than 2.

Kante though offers more offensively on top of his brilliant defensive duties. If I had to choose, I'd probably edge towards Kante.

Just glad we've had them both pull on our jersey!

That's a good call, we shouldn't forget how great Makelele was. They are slightly different players, or at least Kante is becoming more than just a defensive mid for us. His ability to break up play is fabulous, his distribution is improving and getting quicker, but for me his most incredible skill is his ability to read the play. The bugger seems to know where an opponent is going to pass or run to, before the opponent does, never seen anything like it before. Oh, and then he goes and scores as well.
Time alone will tell who is the better, I couldn't care less, they are both absolute gold.

It always brings a smile to my face whenever I see Kante play. He is like a throwback from a long forgotten time, when players were allowed to enjoy the game they were playing and express themselves, be it in a conventional way or otherwise. We often say there are no characters in the game anymore but the "Little One" is the epitome of doing what you do best and doing it well, all rolled up with a cheeky grin. Player of the year...Yup.
