We were allowed to drink whilst working. Very dangerous. Especially when I'm throwing glass bottles with metal pourers on the end of them. in fairness, never dropped anything, it seemed to put me in a zone when working. Legless afterwards though!
Piers Morgan set up a crowdfunding page, saying that if he raised £50k for Comic Relief, then he would wear a Spurs shirt and have his photo taken in it. Look who donated... please log in to view this image
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...nster-attacker-khalid-masood?CMP=share_btn_tw He stands sixth from the left in the back row with his arms folded in a group shot of the football team after they played a charity match. Stuart Knight, who went to school with Ajao [Khalid Masood], discovered on Friday that the teenager he had known as a bright, sport-loving and popular pupil, had become the Westminster attacker. Knight, who runs a butchers in Tunbridge Wells, said: “I am really, really shocked. He was in my class. He was a smashing guy, really nice chap. The picture of us in the football team was after we did a 24-hour sponsored football match to raise money for the sports hall. “We would have been about 14 years old. Everyone got on with Adrian, he was a lovely bloke. He was a bright student, he loved sport. He was in the rugby team.” Knight said Ajao’s family – his mother Janet and stepfather Phillip – were a great family. Ajao, who took his stepfather’s surname after his mother’s marriage, left Huntleys school at 16 and Knight lost touch with him.
I used to work in the film special effects industry. I sold kit to the chap who did the grading (look and feel) on all the Agent Provocateur adverts. He had to work on them almost frame-by-frame and seemed very content with his job. Vin
Saw this this evening on a local church. Thought it was a little unfortunate: You may have to say it a few times before you see it. Vin
I used to live just down the road from there. It is not a particularly soulful area, so not really doing a great job.
Used to get a lot of answers to Jesus Saves placards in Southampton. Invariably along the lines of '"Yeah, but Saints still lost.!"
I used to work almost opposite this church, even been to a wedding there. Some of the congregation appear a little strange. They have had some strange/funny quotes over the years. My fav is Feeling Suicidal? Let Jesus Help You.
