Well, I've never warned or threatened either of you, so I'm as pure as the driven snow

And ventriloquists dummy is not disrespectful, it's a fairly accurate analogy from what I've managed to glean. Just my opinion / interpretation, though - everyone on here is old and wise enough to draw their own conclusions about all and any of our happy family of contributors <ok>

Your drinking buddy did the warning on your behalf, which I'm sure you're aware of and probably giggled about over a pint!

Differing opinions are what forums are all about. I'm as disappointed as anyone at the way this season has turned out. I'm just not convinced that changing the manager will make a major difference. It's all speculation about what could happen, or could have happened. My point was simply that the teams which have changed managers haven't fared well since. There is no right or wrong about changing or not changing, only speculation about what might or might not happen.

Like JMF, I think our future lies with our younger players. Hopefully we will be able to see more of them in the last 10 games, 6 of which are at home. There's no guarantee that a new manager would take a long-term view and see young players as the way forward and that's another thing which makes me hesitate about changing managers now.

If a club with run of the mill players changes managers improvements are not likely. But a club with our under performing "suprtstars" should be able to create a significant upsurge in performance. A different approach by a new man should be enough to gel our disparate parts into a much more efficient team.

Maybe it's penny pinching from the board. We've heard about this £2m pay off, but does it reduce it they keep him until the seasons end? Might it only cost us £1m for example if they sack him in May? It would still be stupid and negligent to have let him stagger on this far but it might mitigate their stupidity a smidgeon? £1m saved vs the chance of PL riches? What's a senile old cook to do?

    Bah!

Trouble is they are no longer "superstars", the majority are heading into the twilight of their careers.

The squad needs an overhaul to freshen things up, and I know many don't agree but I am not against AN being the one to carry it out. He knows the squad and the youth coming through, get rid of the old guard and their mentality and things could be a lot brighter next year.

Obviously if we play like **** for the first month then sack him! :emoticon-0140-rofl:

It's got to the stage now where I'm actually hoping we now suffer a couple of heavy defeats in our next two home games.
If that's what it takes for the Board to grow some balls and sack him, then so be it <ok>

P.S. I never thought I'd see the day when I would genuinely want my club to lose any game :emoticon-0106-cryin

Pretty much what was being said this time last year. Sooner or later we are going to have to grasp the nettle and get rid of AN and our deadwood.

I think the "superstars" actually realise that this is their last ride on the gravy train and are therefore milking it for as long as they can. I am sure that Bassong, Turner (who he ?), Martin, Mulumbu, Whittaker and Naismith probably realise this is their last "big" (by our standards) paycheck and that next season will be different. They are getting rewarded handsomely whether they perform well or not so why should they overstress themselves week in week out when the money comes rolling in anyway ?

I really can't see this, I think they are disallusioned with the crap tactics and mismanagement. Yes they are tied here on the best wages they are likely to get, but most players will bust a gut to impress in their final year of a contract to earn another or impress potential suitors enough to encourage the best wage they can get. Most of these players are not theoretically done yet, not by age alone, look after yourself and you can still expect a good footballing wage well into your 30's. All of them if playing better might expect a decent 2-3 year contract at Champ level, only if they are putting it in though.
If you're Turner or Lafferty of course you're here to milk it, but not maybe because you don't want to play, just no one will pay you better and the manager won't look at you.
All of them would have got a significant raise if we had got promoted, as well as potentially bonuses. Add to that further contracts/employment prospects and I honestly think you have unhappy, unmotivated players because they feel they have the wrong setup/manager for them to impress.

    Bah!

Well, as you don´t regard calling someone a ventriloquist´s dummy, disrespectful, I´m sure you won´t object to me suggesting that you act like a twat sometimes ;) (correct and proper definition naturally) ie, unpleasant, because I would say that that is a fairly accurate description of some of your comments, particularly ones directed at me, and my contributions. Just my opinion though, as you say, we´re all one big happy family here. <ok>

Are you series Suffolk? Seriously give him another chance?

Whos been purchasing the players the last 2 season with the largest amount of money available to a manager at this club?

Whos been picking the squad each game?

Whos been applying the tactical approach each game this season (im still furious still at him trying to defend a 1-1 BC this week)?

Which person do the players seem to have lost faith in?

What is the cheaper option, change nearly all the players or change 1 person who regularly makes poor tactical judgements.?

Ok im guessing your on a wind up, i took the bait haha :)

You can tell he is a loser, totally unable to even win the sack race.

His sack would not of performed as expected.

The planning was done, the sack knew what was expected but ultimately it just didnt perform on the day.

There are some younger sacks available but he is going to give his old tired one, with holes in another chance to put things right.
