Since I stopped going to City my hatred for the Allams and them booing fans grew.

When I stepped away I still held an interest in all things City. i wasn't there but I still cared.

I don't care anymore. To be so full of hate, just like the allams, is not for me. Not anymore.

I was in a pub in Pickering a few weeks back. Was mainly a Leeds pub but I was with a Tottenham supporting friend and they were playing Chelsea. we managed to get a telly on. A few blokes came over asking who we supported as they sat with us. I felt embarrassed to say Hull City. Not for being in the relegation zone. Just for being the fan of a basket case club.

I said I'd go back if the Allams went. But I won't as I've not only gotten out of going but can't bear the thought of sitting next to any Allam arse lickers even when the allams are gone.

Those so called Hull City fans are a disgrace. The Allams are a disgrace. And it can all just **** off now.

I honestly don't care anymore. I'm the sort of bloke who never betted against his team. Today i had palace to win 2-0.

I really don't care for City anymore and for football in general. And once i stopped going i realised how much life i could live on a Saturday afternoon.

So **** you who booed our own chant. **** you Allam arse lickers. And **** you who believed he could do what he wants and telling us to be careful what we wish for.

This whole Allam debacle has made me bitter and nasty. And I know that's not who I used to be. Its certainly not who i want to be. I never thought I could be as let down by anyone as I was by my, ahem, Hull City fans. I don't want to be bitter and twisted. And I can't believe what my club has become.

Time to switch off. Things will never be the same again.

And before the 66.6 chap says it: boom tish and good riddance (or some other piss taking post).

A club is meant to be for life. Not for me. Not anymore. Happier times and places are out there.

All the best, you lovely people <cheers>

if you'd give up on your club so easily.. then you are not a true fan, some do care

ofcourse the booing was one of my worst days as a fan of this football club, but there are many who do care and i tend to associate myself with them

"Those so called Hull City fans are a disgrace." Yup, some of them sure are.
You're not French, are you? Italian, maybe?
I won't call you a wet nelly, but please sing We Shall Overcome, or Kumbaya if you know the words, on the way out.
    Buh bye.

    I'm a 'drama queen'
Agree with the sentiments of the original poster, more than the follow ups defining true fans (thanks for clearing that one up). I too, have found 'better things to do with my time'

I was there V Southend in '80 and the Torquay night match (ask yer dad. ****) And was a season ticket holder at KC (until we got kicked out of our seats in E2 , with the move to North lasting a couple of seasons until I had really had enough of the whole toxic scene)

Those pair of despicable ****s have got you running to their merry dance

For me it's very easy to understand and accept both sides of the debate, meaning:
    - those who have fallen out of love and can't bring themselves to watch City while ever the Allams are still in charge. I'm close to being there.
    versus
    - those who say f-cuk the Allams. It's my club and I'll support them no matter what.

Both views are valid. Each of us are different, have different tipping points, different morals, etc. For me, I couldn't bring myself to put a City scarf on following the Airco scandal; that was my tipping point - at that particular time I was truly embarrassed to associate myself with the Club.

But, instead of turning on each other, all the anger, frustration, venom should be directed to a) the Allams, and b) the Allam sympathisers.

Am i missing something? How can a lifelong supporter of a football club suddenly not care anymore? I still go to games but i've seriously thought about cancelling my membership, but even if i did i would still care and watch games on tv or listen on the radio, and I'd be back like a shot when the Allams were gone.

We've all got other things we could be doing but when it's so deeply engrained, in the blood so to speak i would find it impossible to not care anymore.

Do you need to start a new thread every time you decide this?

Went to the Palace game: my first of the season. I haven't so much been boycotting, in truth, it's just that I felt I had had the enthusiasm sucked out of me by the Allams' stance and the subsequent, to me bewildering, attitude of a lot of our fans. I felt sick when the idea of “Hull Tigers” was first floated and despaired when a lot of City supporters seemed to think it was fine.

Saturday. Match Day. The drive to Hull. Meeting friends. Wearing the scarf. Hearing Hull accents. Pie & a pint. The beauty of the pitch under floodlights. The same moaning, opinionated bastards that were there on Bunkers in the early sixties. I just bloody love it.

When Livermore scored, I shot out of my seat at a rate which flew in the face of modern medicine: the pre-requisite of such a feat would normally be heady cocktail of co-codamaol and ibuprofen.

Bollocks to the Allams. Bollocks to their supporters. Just go to a game, remind yourself why you ever went to a match, and then resume your boycott, if a boycott's your thing. Rinse and repeat as required until we have new owners.

As soon as they go the excitement will come back.

They have poured cold water all over a generally glorious era, so they should never be forgiven, but they're temporary.

I won't pay them a penny but I'm desperate to go back to normal supporting. Went to the Palace game, first this season (freebie ticket) and loved it.

When the time comes to return, and when I can choose where my seat is (rather than the lower west corner with the ticket I won) I'll be all in again. Personally think it will be even more enjoyable than before when I go back, much has been learned through the Allam tenure and I know I'll appreciate it all much more than before.

I have not been to a match for a good year or two now as it was just becoming a miserable chore. It doesn't help that I now know no City fans in the 'real world' - the only communication I have with other fans is on here. It's not just the Allams, (although they're obviously the biggest factor) - I think like a lot of fans around the country I've become disillusioned with football as a whole. I've found that just chilling in a pub on Saturday afternoon with a few pints of proper ale is far more enjoyable way to spend a weekend. However I could never stop supporting the team - that is ingrained after 30 years now. I can't just switch that off whatever happens.

Having said that, I keep telling my GF we need a weekend in Hull which will necessitate taking in a match, (she hates football so it will also have to involve a tour of The Old Town and The Deep). So the minute the Allams do eventually **** off that's what we'll be doing. I also need to check my Dad's memorial tile outside W4 is still in place - it feels bad that I've not seen that for ages!

Despite all the off-field **** that we've had to endure for the past 3-4 years I still get a buzz when I walk out of the concourse and see that sea of green, especially
this time of year when the floodlights are on even for a Saturday 3pm game.

There's just something about watching my home town team. The place I was born and grew up. Premiership, Championship, League 1, 2 or 8. It doesn't matter.

And I'm not going to let the actions of someone else take that feeling away from me.
