EFL1 (Championship), Tuesday 27/09/2016 : Barnsley v Aston Villa, KO 19:45 hours. No sign of a stream for this match. Instead, it will be covered by SSN in a S0ccer Special, so we should see the goals 'as they go in' ... and not into our net, hopefully ! My AVF prediction, made on 20/09/2016 : Barnsley 1-2 Aston Villa
EFL1 (Championship), Tuesday 27/09/2016 : Barnsley 1-1 Aston Villa Yet again, AVFC snatch a draw from a win, FFS !!! Attendance : 15,830 (SSN)
EFL1 (Championship), Saturday 01/10/2016 : Preston North End v Aston Villa, KO 15:00 hours. My AVF prediction, made on 20/09/2016 : Preston North End 1-2 Aston Villa No sign of a stream for this match.
EFL1 (Championship), Saturday 01/10/2016 : Preston North End 2-0 Aston Villa A totally unacceptable performance from reading the SSN match report, without even the 'consolation' of losing the lead this time. This result leaves AVFC in 19th position with 10 points from 11 games and -2 GD. Only bottom club Rotherham cannot overtake us now. Lucky that we beat them, otherwise it would be AVFC bottom of the table !!! Attendance : 17,696 (SSN) Skysports - Preston 2-0 Aston Villa: Roberto Di Matteo's side struggle again
EFL1 (Championship), Saturday 15/10/2016 : Aston Villa v Wolverhampton Wanderers, KO 17:30 hours, SKY. My AVF prediction, made on 20/09/2016 : Aston Villa 2-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers With RDM sacked today {03/10/2016} and Steve Clarke put in charge, this match will show who was to blame for the dismal tactics ... RDM and/or SC. If we get more of the same dross then it will point to both RDM and SC being responsible. If we get the occasional flashes of good play we have seen, but sustained for 90 minutes, then that would point the credit to SC. That in turn could decide the 'next manager' question in favour of SC. Otherwise, the hunt for the next manager would be on in earnest. Of course, SC may not get the opportunity to manage by the time this match is played, so this match will then be a blank page upon which to judge the new manager (whoever he may be).
haha Larry I love how you make your opinions based on a SSN Match report! Perhaps the Match report isnt entirely truthful or doesnt give a good reflection of the game. Was it RDM's fault, or the players fault? I really wish there were more villa fans on this site! WHOSE YOUR NEXT MESSIAH! TEARS ON THE HOLTE!
Good Luck to Steve Bruce and the team today. please log in to view this image EFL1 (Championship), Saturday 15/10/2016 : Aston Villa v Wolverhampton Wanderers, KO 17:30 hours, SKY. Stream : Feed2All - Aston Villa v Wolverhampton Wanderers
EFL1 (Championship), Saturday 15/10/2016 : Aston Villa 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers Another inconsistent performance from AVFC. It was a good start to the first half, but it tailed off and continued going downhill in a poor second half. Wolves were the better team, with the emphasis on team, throughout, so it is very much a work in progress for Steve Bruce. This result sees AVFC 20th in the table; fortunately there are four teams below AVFC, with only bottom club Rotherham (the team we beat) unable to overtake us ! Attendance : 32,533 (SSN)
EFL1 (Championship), Tuesday 18/10/2016 : Reading v Aston Villa, KO 20:00 hours. A stream for this match looks unlikely, but our game will be covered by SSN in a S0ccer Special. My AVillaFan prediction, made on 13/10/2016 : Reading 1-2 Aston Villa
EFL1 (Championship), Tuesday 18/10/2016 : Reading 1-2 Aston Villa Hooray !!! AVFC get 3 points and back to 17th after this win ... and I get 10 points in the AVF Prediction League. please log in to view this image Attendance : 20,331 (SSN)
EFL1 (Championship), Saturday 22/10/2016 : Aston Villa v Fulham, KO 15:00 hours. My AVF prediction, made on 13/10/2016 : Aston Villa 2-0 Fulham If a stream becomes available, I will post the link.
No stream for our match today. EFL1 (Championship), Saturday 22/10/2016 : Aston Villa 1-0 Fulham One was enough for victory, which sees AVFC move up to 16th in the table. Per the SSN live commentary, AVFC had 16 goal attempts to Fulham's two. These attempts were spread evenly between the halves, which points to consistency across the full 90 minutes. Let this be the norm from now on. Attendance : 32,201 (SSN)
EFL1 (Championship), Sunday 30/10/2016 : Birmingham City v Aston Villa, KO 12:00 hours, SKY. Victory on Sunday will put AVFC ahead on form (at last) and we could rise to around 12th in the table. My AVF prediction, made on 13/10/2016 : Birmingham City 1-2 Aston Villa
EFL1 (Championship), Sunday 30/10/2016 : Birmingham City v Aston Villa, KO 12:00 hours, SKY. Stream : Feed2All - Birmingham City v Aston Villa
EFL1 (Championship), Sunday 30/10/2016 : Birmingham City 1-1 Aston Villa Good play by the Villa lads in the first half and a good goal from Gary Gardner, but there was too much hoofing the ball in the air in the second half, which played to the opposition's benefit. Still undefeated since Steve Bruce arrived though, so like others, I will take this result, which lifts AVFC to 15th in the table. After this result AVFC's total Form Points dropped by one to 55 ... that is, points after 46 games. The maximum available as of now is 111 points, with 93 to play for. AVFC got to level par with the upturn in results following Steve Bruce's arrival and are still on level par. Attendance : 29,656 (SSN)
