How does this buy back thing work? Surely the owner has to want to sell (put the player on the market), is there usually a time limit on it as in length of first contract? Or can a club just decide "we want him back now he is good, here's your £15m and thanks for your time"?
I think - it is similar to Alvaro Moratta's for Real vs Juve. We will be given option before end of this year 2016 to buy him back for 15m Euros. If we don't pull the trigger, clause will be void and Thorgan is good to be with Borussia Mochenglandbach. Atleast that is what I read. This looks a no brainer. we should buy him back. it is like reverse loan fee tbh. update: here are some literature about the same. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation....lsea-borussia-monchengladbach-buy-back-clause http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/20/chels...an-hazard-but-it-expires-in-14-weeks-6140733/
But does it depend on Monchen wanting to sell? EDIT..........in other words you can't enforce it if they want to keep him.
No mate. I don't think they will have any say with this type of clause. Just like Juve were helpless with Morata. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jun/21/real-madrid-alvaro-morata-juventus-buy-back so Real, bought Morata back for 30m Euros and tried to sell him for 60M+ pounds. Greedy Dastards!!
Still a bit confused though, Morata was linked to other clubs so does this mean Juve were looking to sell him. If Juve had said no sale, could Madrid have still triggered the clause?
I think if there is a buy back clause then the club has to accept as it was part of the deal when they agreed to sell in the first place. The player can still then down the move though. The club can still sell him to other clubs for a higher price but if the previous club still wants him, then they only have to paid the agreed but back clause. At least that's how I think it works anyway.
Atsu helps the Interim One, gives 0-1 away win at Rotherham. Tammy at it again, against Forest in a comeback win for Bristol City. Sincerely hope Bristol make it PL however long shot that is Bristol 3rd in the Championship after 11 games only point behind Toons. Bristol has thrown away so many games from winning positions and still 3rd. That sums Tammy's Contribution in a nutshell.
he should be able to step up , provided he gets a good platform in PL like Bristol getting promoted or a proper mid table team. Cannot throw him in our squad right away and expect returns right away.
another one to the list. Tammy's short drought ended today. He grabbed a potential winner at 76mins only for Bristol to ship a 91st min equalizer to Barnsley away. Please help Tammy reach PL proper.
Can't work out how Tammy is not starting for the U21's tonight, the lad is on fire and Bothroyd has no recognised striker on the pitch, strange one that,
