A deal has been agreed with Peel to buy Bramley Moore dock and some adjoining land.

There'll be an announcement in the next week or so.

Expect thousands of bitter Kopites to object to the planning application <laugh>

On the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey :)

I wonder if it will be helped along by big joe wanting it as part of his big for the commonwealth games?

Interesting, wonder who will protest more. The RS or our own fan groups

The stadium won't be anything to do with a potential CG bid mate

I doubt even our lot could protest about a riverside home, could they?

It'll be built and in use about 7 years before the proposed 2026 bid

Bet it has a 90% chance of having an adaptation to host athletics

If it doesn't involve any Council/Grant money I doubt it would ...

Besides it takes ages to agree all the terms of that stuff the timescale is too small to complicate with that surely?

That's if we are talking of a stadium in 3yrs...

The stadium plans have nothing to do with Joe Andersons vision of a CG bid.

First he pushes Everton towards WHP, blocks/makes it difficult to redevelop Goodison and the requirements for roads/improvements.

Next he meets with the club and all of a sudden he tells the world that we could be in a new home in under three years?

He needs a partner for the CG, he can't do it alone......Liverpool won't be building a new ground or a 15,000/20,000 seater stadium anytime soon

He pushed us towards WHP as the regime at the time couldn't afford anything better and it helped him out with a problem site.

Moshiri's vision is nothing to do with Joe, he's given the site away today on Twitter btw.

He tried to use the club for his own gains, the Americans were interested and Joe put barriers in place to ensure Goodison wasn't developed in phases with road improvement/move.

He shouldn't be discussing this, the only reason is that it will help his CG bid. He wanted the club to enable him to develop WHP and threw his toys out when things went south

He tried to push Stonebridge Cross to Moshiri, which is a complete dump and a poor site for a stadium of scale.

Moshiri kicked it into touch and has been pursuing the Bramley Moore docks site since. Having Anderson on side with the project is purely about trying to smooth the planning process imo. Unfortunately Joe can't keep his gob shut on twitter, so he's stolen Moshiri's glory a bit here, which I'm sure hasn't gone down well

Because Joe now wants the club to aid his CG bid(in my personal opinion)

If its forkall to do with him mate he may be trying to get on the bandwagon to make it look like he got something to do with it being a blue...
But as Tobes says if he is nothing to do with it...
Personally he looking a right clunge as what has been clear about Everton and our ownership is that we wont say anything untill we are ready which although frustrating at times is the right way to go IMO

Where's the announcement? Did they turn their phone off? Or did you remember you were a family and didn't want to turn your back on Goodison?

Well lets be honest, FSG had it sorted in weeks <laugh>

I think there was some clause in their purchase in the distressed sale that they would start on ground redevelopment immediately, that went well.
