Can't be arsed to find the original thread as the search function on this site is fecked, so I'm starting a new one. Anything less than two wins from our next two home games and he should go. Discuss ..... Oh and I haven't even started on the Stella yet
My faith in AN is next to non existent now. More than today it was last week. After all his statements of intent to attack and impose our game plan on the oppo, he chickens out goes defensive and once again show no cohesion or evidence of a game plan. This week now I think more about it worse still. A great midweek showing from the younguns, any changes? Underperformers out? No! Has he got a clue how he wants the team to play? I can't decern what he's trying to achieve any longer. It seemed clear but it isnt happening. Who could we get to replace him? I might be tempted to talk to Bruce but who'd want the job if we fail to sign anyone before the window closes? And get ready for a binner infestation after they leapfrogged us too! Bah!
Classic knee jerk reaction, five games in and you haven't been promoted yet...a few cans of Stella, give the wife a beating, you'll feel so much better about it tomorrow morning...
Yeah, well if we just accept this crap we might just end up playing in this Godforsaken ****hole of a division for 15 years or more ..... ...... Oh hang on
A whole season of farcical decisions in the PL (that's the Premier League, PL for those of you who have possibly forgotten given the extreme length of footballing absense) last season has a lot to do with our shortness of patience. I'd still rather watch our confused and underachieving football than your lots overachieving yet diabolical anti football. Nice of you to come along Welly, it's always good for my mood when I'm reminded things could be much much worse! Bah!
You for real? You're more paranoid than KIO (and that's something). Laters lads, I'm going out now, have a good evening...
WOW - some very strong words on the EDP re getting rid of AN and here are just a couple of comments - "This loss was 100% down to Neil and his tactics. I was at the match and we were a shambles, all the players arguing with each other - thats not a team. We started with the keeper, 3 defenders (whitaker!!! , klose and bennett, and the rest of the team was made up of 7 midfielders. None of them knew what the other was doing. We haven't played any games well this season including, the opening day at Blackburn - we were flattered by that scoreline - Blackburn themselves were a shambles in defence. Now I dont mind us losing games, if we are playing well as a team and trying to score and win the game - but that didn't happen yesterday or in any of the other games I have been to this season. They are not rubbish players, so it has to be Neil's tactics" "It really depends on what everyone wants from the club. From the last few games I've seen and been at we've been average. Bang average. We got caught out yesterday big time. Even with a new striker is that even going to make enough of a difference? It's not going to be a magic wand to put everything right. I've, like many of you, have been very patient with Neil. We could stand back and say give him time but after the disappointed of the last campaign everyone's patience has worn thin. Yesterday, the team we fielded, even without Jerome should have been enough to walk away with 3 points. I'm quite a balanced poster but I'm getting fed up with the dire football we've been playing with some of the decent players we have. Expectations are high but they've been set by the club itself, it's up to them to deliver. AN has run out of time for me, making the same mistakes time and time again, as we hear the same sound bites every week. I want to see good football and if we lose, lose gallantly." Well it's pretty difficult to disagree with any of that IMO. He's now got two home games to turn opinion round otherwise the knives will really be out.

Who do you think could do better than AN and is available and would want to come? If anybody says Colin I will scream!
Good point Dave and I'm struggling to answer that one!!! DEFINITELY NOT Colin nor Mick. I just wish AN would stick with what he said in pre season and give the youngsters a chance. Morris couldn't have been any worse than Naismith yesterday!!!!
All I'll say to that Dave is that EVERYONE is ALWAYS available. You want someone, you head hunt him, pay the compo and get your man end of
I'm sure there are some more obscure untried managers out there for us to try. I'm sure our brilliant team will pinpoint them.
It was getting to me before the season even kicked off how many people - not just on here, were talking about "we need, blah and blah to get our promotion push underway" Smell the coffee, dudes - at this rate, there ain't going to be no such thing. Mid table obscurity after 5 matches of playing very average football is not the way to ignite a promotion push. Alex Neil is looking like he's been 'found out', tactics wise and 'pooped out' in the transfer windows he's overseen. Not the best way to start if, as a club, you have serious aspirations
I would expect us to pick up a MINIMUM of 9 points in September - Sat 10 Sep 16 Cardiff H Tue 13 Sep 16 Wigan H Sat 17 Sep 16 Forest A Sat 24 Sep 16 Burton H Wed 28 Sep 16 Newcastle A I don't feel that is being over ambitious and should we fail to do so, then I really think AN MUST go (unless we start playing well and our opponents get 'the rub of the green!!') and our chances of finishing in the top 6 are pretty slim!!!!
Rich, I'll say this, if we pay high compo and top wages, if he does well for us, he'll be off to a bigger club when they come calling because he is only interested in the money!
