Easy win. After break then Hamilton will start last at spa and get 2nd at minimum and then championship is over. Ferrari in melt down... probably doing the usual ferrari bollox by compromising next year's car by in house messing. Red Bull on the up slightly, needing more engine power. The stewards and whiting need to be savaged for the mess they've made of the rules and the sillyness
My bet is he thinks without the slagging off he gave Renault the PU would not be where it is today ;-)
Actually I take your point , but I think he was out of order in going public the way he did . I Think Renault would have sorted it ,as they appear to be doing , but he wanted every thing YESTERDAY .
Definitely out of order. It does appear the way Red Bull do things though. They have publicly slagged off their drivers before. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when Horner had to go to Renault to ask for a PU as no one else would sell them one, not that you can blame Merc or Ferrari after all the negative publicity Red Bull gave Renault.
I thinks it's worth noting that some have commented on Nico being favoured with strategy. Today was an example of how inept Merc are, their attempt to move Nico forward was calamitous and the self implied 8.2 sec stop was ameaturish!
Mercedes are always pretty inept when in comes to strategy. They either panic or miss the absolute obvious.
Why are we having a summer break ( except to make Bernie Richer ) . !6 - 18 races at PROPER circuits , will do just fine IMHO . Bring back Gravel traps instead of these twatting huge run off areas . If you are good enough , you will keep it on track , if you are not , Tough **** !
Just watched the race after work and thought it was OK. Not the best but better than Hungary. Rosberg was absolutely terrible (again) - and Mercedes overall terrible - let's be honest they consistently cock simple things up as a team in all aspects and if it wasn't for such a good engine they wouldn't be a top team in any aspect imo! Hamilton is doing all that he needs, it's a level of maturity he's not shown much of in the past. Can't see Rosberg threatening from now on...
