JTS I have read your other recent comments in your other threads and I would like to say to you and those with you running the FFSC, that I think you all are doing a cracking job and you all shou;d be proud of what you have done I have just signed up again. Can you confirm that its gone through your end please? Also, this next bit is a bit personal. Its regarding your comment on the other thread about Ray Spearing. I didnt know him or his family but am aware of what happened and if I got the right family, the financial struggles the family have had since. Is this the case? If so, are they still trying to raise funds?
Thanks CJ, Yes thats the family and i'm not sure if they are still looking for funds to help, i know that sadly Ray passed away without any life insurance and they are struggling, just hope they are gonna be ok. Thanks for your kind comments and i will check your payment asap but unfortunately our treasurer is in Sabadell for a few days!
Like I said, I dont know the family, but the reason why I asked about them was because if they were selling their shirt for funds, I would like to donate the Chris Lines shirt to them to help. I dont have the funds to help in any other way im afraid.
Jon on your informal meeting thread you started you said that Steve Hamer and DC would hold a Q & A session for us, you have said you would like to open it to all supporters, may I suggest that you hold it for the FFSC and invite supporters to join us upon receiving their £10 joining fee, this would increase interest and membership Membership transfer done today
Its a thought, but personally i think ALL fans should be able to attend a Q & A free of charge with perhaps a gratuity box for donations if people would like to contribute.

Update: As you know for a few seasons now we have looked at the possibility of the FFS Club marketing itself to attract more members and to raise our profile. I thought of something a while ago and chatting about it at our AGM and after lots of conversations with the club we have negotiated a deal...... Our whole existence began and has continued on Social Media and its something we'd like to continue. Our proposal is that we will Sponsor Rovers Goals! If you are familiar with the Official Rovers Twitter Feed you will know that when we score the player who scored has his photo tweeted, we have negotiated this Tweet to be Sponsored by The Fan's Forum Sponsor Club! please log in to view this image Sample above from last season, our FFS Club name/logo will appear along the bottom (club are at present working on actual image) We have suggested £25 per goal scored and this will be raised through our so far successful "GasBill" pledge sysystem (which will launch next week) so our generous "GasBill" participants can pledge say £1 per goal or any amount they see fit/affordable to. This idea is productive in 5 ways in my opinion: 1. It will raise our profile and attract new members. 2. Will raise money for our football club. 3. Be fun for those that take part as they have with "GasBill" 4. And importantly, could open up a new revenue/sponsorship source for the football club in future seasons, as i'm sure a few businesses may be interested in it. 5. It will make normal supporters feel a part of the football club both in its media and success. Of course without your approval this can't be sealed and signed off so that is the reason for us posting this now. If we think it has approval from the majority of FFS members this deal will start hopefully in time for next Thursday's Cup Match V. Cardiff. I would like to thank Kerry Price (BRFC Marketing) and Steve Hood (BRFC Social Media Manager) for their help, they have both been fantastic listening and helping us with our idea. Finally, a massive massive thank you to everyone who has signed up for this season, both myself and Parrot have been blown away by the start we've made and it's all down to you The FFS Club members who continue to be so generous. THANK YOU! JTS
I cant afford to take part in the Gas Bill challenge so I don't know if it right to agree to the proposal but if it is I agree
No worries at all and for the record we always listen to people's opinions no matter how much or little they put in. Every single member is very important to us. UTG
The Roll of Honour has now been updated and we've now signed up over 100 members this season and passed £19,000 raised! please log in to view this image
Well past the 100 signed up point now, thank you all so much for your generous support. please log in to view this image Thursday night we enjoyed another superb night Sponsoring a match, as usual some great people to share the ocassion with and plenty of laughs along the way. The pie and seasonal veg had to be tasted to be believed, pretty sure it was real Beef too! Then some weird Pyramiddy thing bit like mousse crossed with ice cream with a great dollop of Jam in the middle, either way we certainly larroped it down! For a low attendance the atmosphere was pretty good and built up as the game went on, i have to say the FFS Club kids sang their little hearts out all night and were buzzing giving James Clarke his MOTM, they even got to go back across the pitch to the players tunnel for a further photo shoot. The Bristol Blue Glasss prize was drawn from a hat and went to Young Henry which was apt i thought. It you get a chance in the future please try to come along to one of these it really is a great time had by all. Thanks to everyone who attended you all contributed to a good night and helped take us past the £19,000 raised mark. Top Gasheads! UTG. This photo sums up the night nicely........The FFS Club Kids with Man of the Match James Clarke please log in to view this image
please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Welcome to The Fan's Forum Sponsor Club GASBILL 2016/17 This season just like the last two we are inviting you to put your money where your mouth is with our pledge style fundraiser. In those seasons GasBill alone has raised over £3,500 for BRFC. So, as previously you can pledge an amount on something that would make you feel good by having to pay up on. We've had generous pledges in the past with Gasheads saying they will pay various amounts for..... Individual players scoring, penalties scored, clean sheets, attendances, points etc, etc. This season we have a new way of supporting our GasBill , one that will not only benefit the football club but also promote us to hopefully make even more! We are going to Sponsor Goals Scored by the team! Everytime the Gas score we are sponsoring the Tweet showing the player which goes out to thousands of Official Bristol Rovers followers. We hope that this will pave the way for a business to Sponsor the goals next season - Win- Win! So we are looking for as many Gasheads as we can get to pledge an amount for EVERY GAS GOAL, this can be as little or as much as you wish, so get pledging Gasheads!!! * If possible we would like you to settle your Gasbill at regular intervals throughout the season so we can hand over the money to the Football Club bi-monthly * (Terms: £25 will be paid to Bristol Rovers Football Club per Goal Scored/Tweeted, if more is raised it will go into our Fans Forum Sponsor Club pot to Sponsor players, games etc) Payments to be made via our normal ways: Our PayPal Account - [email protected](if you have a PayPal Balance it is free, otherwise please pay the charges otherwise we will not receive the full amount) Or you can pay Electronically direct into our FFS Bank account - Sort Code: 40-46-18 Acc. No. 32107813 Please consider supporting our GASBILL, and thank you so much for all your continued support. UTG and finally, if you haven't joined us yet, what are you waiting for!
