Well, as their beloved mousers didn't actually lose, they might. But then they didn't lose either, so 50-50, I'd say.
@Hoddle Is A God Have you finished that cigar yet ? Because I'm still waiting for you to answer my questions: 1. How can Arsenal not have faced any 'decent opposition' seeing as we are almost 1/2 was through the season and have faced almost EVERY team ? 2. As Arsenal have gone from 5th to 1st, would you say that we are: a. Going backwards ? b. Going forwards ?
my reply to NSIS - some of them haven't landed yet ffs, they surely can't call kicking the ball a mile in the sky a ****ing shot
That's an easy one. Arsenal have benefited from all the big teams from capitalizing against (perceived) lower opposition. Arsenal have done marginally better, but they have not excelled. Any of the big teams could have been romping this league, if they had played to form, including Spurs. No side can claim the positions in this table to be indicative of anything, otherwise we've all got to claim that Leicester are going to be in the top 4 over the next few seasons! See my last reply. Nothing can be judged from this season. If Arsenal were going forwards, they'd be romping this league. They're not, so they aren't.
That's a long winded way of avoiding the fact that we've played almost EVERY team. Funny though that you include Spurs in that list of lack of 'decent opposition' As for no2. We're not staying still, we've gone from 5th to first. So are we: 1. Going forwards 2. Going backwards
In a race where everyone else is running backwards, you are going forwards, even if you are standing still. I don't know how better to answer your wumming, Pixie.
It's not wumming. In the OP you stated that Arsenal were 'going backwards' We're not standing still, we have moved from 5th to 1st So are we: 1. Going backwards 2. Going forwards
ok i will answer this as its an easy one. we are talking about this season in a thread that you started asking will Spurs finish above Arsenal. teams can only beat what is in front of them (except for Spurs and Pool today) and the table doesn't lie. Arsenal are 7 points clear of Spurs after just 16 games and at this rate could finish 16 points above them. if Leicester keep beating teams then they will be in top 6 and possibly top 4 if Spurs and Pool continue to **** up Spurs should worry about Palace overtaking them
Yes, and, equally, Arsenally can worry about Leicester going top on Monday. That's the point I'm making about this season.
Very poor attempt to bullshit your way out of it HIAG. You said we are 'going backwards' but in this dimension we have gone from 5th to 1st and are going forwards.
How is it poor from me? Do you not admit that Chelsea, United, 'Pool and £ity are underachieving this season?
and we would still be 7 points clear of Spurs who must be going backwards at a ****ing alarming rate using your logic.
We're not talking about those teams though are we ? You specifically said that Arsenal are 'going backwards'. What is it about Arsenal going from 5th to 1st demonstrates that we have 'gone backwards' ?
