Surely it's time to see try to recapture some style? ......................................Fab ...................Fed ............Ash .......... Taylor .................Leon / Carroll ...........Cork Routledge ........ Siggy ......... Ki .......... Montero .................................Gomis (As likely as the Easter bunny)
Who cares as long as we win Tbh I wouldn't mind seeing a set up like that. Maybe Amat for Taylor though? That said would have pace, power, ball retention and goals galore.
It's fair to say I'm not a fan of Talyor's but he would be offer a little more going forward than other options. Rangle would still be my choice of full back but in my fantasy team above - Fed is more able to play wide whereas Ash isn't so it would be a left back rather than right back in a back three. Ash and Fed are too important to drop.
This game will be ranked as one of Burnley's targets for points so expect a very hard match. they do pretty well against the top sides so i will be satisfied with a point away from home and over the moon with all 3....1-1
Agree Dai, will take a point on the end of a good win at the weekend. We will need to roll up our sleeves though and battle this one out.
Hearing a lot of people saying a point in Burnley will be a good result - will it ****. They are 3 from the bottom on 22 points and only got something from Chelsea because of really bizarre refereeing decisions. We have a squad of players capable of playing Burnley off the park, about time we had some swagger and professional arrogance. 3 points should be expected and worked for - 1 would be a blow and 0 a shock. If the players can get themselves motivated for Man U but not Burnley they are being unprofessional. (I know, I know - no game is easy, we don't have the right to win etc etc,)
I agree with that Bob. Never mind what they are targeting. We should be targeting a decent away win here. The table doesn't lie and we must throw everything at them. Trouble is I've still got horrible memories of the last away game.
That is why we have to be realistic. Do we have better players, yes. Should we beat them, Yes. However, we are not that great away from home and they are fighting for their lives when we are technically safe, complacency shouldn't come in to it, but have a feeling it might. That's why I will take a point.
We dont have the god given right to win any game and neither does anyone else. We can all beat each other on the day as have been proven this season. Burnley are favourites with home advantage so i would be happy to get a point but over the moon with 3.....
This will be no easy game, they are a hard working team & have a manager who'll have them scrapping to the bitter end. They also have a match winner in Danny Ings, so I think this will be tough, but we have enough class in our team to win this. I'll take a 'speculative shot' winner now....
The only thing I'm concerned with against Burnley is injuries! These guys pulled off some heavy tackles at Chelsea and the Burnley Manager backed them with what I consider to be excuses from him, just hope that with all the fuss over the incidents at Stamford bridge , they will be more careful, or at least we get a Referee that will give our players some protection, going to be a physical battle for sure, but we definitely should be targeting 3 points from this fixture though......
looks like we will be playing the diamond formation against Burnley hints monk. He has a strong squad of players to choose from so it will be interesting to see who he will start with. Burnley are a physical side so we must watch our discipline and not retaliate to bad tackles and get sent off. Burnley will have targeted this game for 3 points but i think monk will have done the same thing and will be going all out for the points that will get us to the 40 point mark in record time....A very tough game ahead but a winnable game...
