    every other board has it...

Who are you most concerned about surrounding us in terms of competition for Europe? e.g. Newcastle, Spurs and Arsenal.

Spurs I don't think have made a great star but they're picking up points and are ahead of us. I think they'll take 4th this year and leave us in 5th or 6th sadly.

Spurs, the Geordies & Arsenal will be our closest rivals this season I think. Spurs look good, but they've got Villas Boas & he's an accident waiting to happen imo. The Geordies have got a good side & injuries permitting could push hard again over the full season. Arsenal are hit & miss at the minute, but once the new signings settle, will come good imo, same as they do every year under Wenger.

Have Stoke got the rs amongst their list?

I think the Geordies look a bit weak compared to last year, don't have a lot of depth but then again neither do we.

I think Stoke have bigger fish to fry than Liverpool to be honest mate.

We have a bigger squad than last year, only place we are light is up front.

Didn't think you had that much depth last year either <ok>

You're right though, Cisse hasn't started where he left off in terms of goals which doesn't help.

You got lucky with the ACON qualifiers draw though!

I agree with the above I think the spuds will get 4th with the Toon and Gunners fighting us for 5th 6th and 7th I'd like to think we could snatch 4th but we would have to stay Injury free etc

It would be devastating not to improve on last season given what an average season it was.

There's a fair bit of quality in the teams around us though sadly.

We managed though! Cisse will come good, I have faith in him, the key for us is getting the balancing act right of making sure at least one of Ba and Cisse are in form at any given time. If we do that we will have the goals to sustain a push for top 5/6. I think you lot will pip us this year but there's hardly a fag paper between our sides, as shown by our match this season (admittedly, you deserved to win but it was a good even match in terms of the play).

If Pardew lets Ba go to Liverpool for the 7m get out clause that will be well tragic lets hope Cisse scores the hatrick and gets you an Anfield victory the weekend and puts Brendan off....Assuming they can afford him after the Dempsey fiasco lol

Liverpool and Tottenham both in action tonight. Think Swansea could beat Liverpool but not much chance for Norwich.

You won't be seeing him on this board again anyway ;)

We need an Arsenal v Chelsea final now though otherwise another club could take up a Europa league place through the cup.

I can see that happening tbh cant see atleast Wenger fielding a weak team and Chelsea had a strong team out aswell so a fair chance at that Final I think<ok>

Unless they draw each other in the semi finals (assuming they both get through).

Though seeing Bradford play in Europe next year would certainly be a sight <laugh>

Good point lol forgot about the draw ha ha

Mind alls not lost even If this EL place Is not taken by any of them I think we are well capable of getting a few wins In our coming games I think Arsenal at home at the end of the month will be tough as usual but hopeful we can pick up a good few points to keep us up there..(At the risk of sounding like an over optimistic LFC fan)

Will make things easier if there are 3 league spaces for the Europa league seeing as 7th should be the bare minimum for us this season. You never know how the season will plan out though with injuries, January transfer window etc etc
