I'd love to see the number of first time out winners for new yards after leaving Anabel Murphys (King). That 400 metres between yards might provide the horse with tonnes of improvement!! Will the son improve the mums old horse!!
GOLDEN SALUTE 6.20 Windsor I put this one up on its debut at the Windsor Festival 16 days ago, mainly because the yard has such a good strike rate with its juveniles here and the fact that it is very nicely bred. This full sister to Victory Angel ran well before fading at the furlong pole. Progress is only to be expected and it looks like connections are getting stuck into her today!
On this earlier also but only nagging doubt is the pilot on board the AOB filly and the presence of Halfords improver. I see music box is out yet again in the same race having run 10 times already this season, unusual for an OBrien horse.
Stickler I'm thinking of dipping my toe into ownership. It's a lease with Sam Thomas. A four year old mare buy Oscar. It's only a small share a longing a month all in. Any advice?
Perfect way to start I would say Florida. Make sure you get to the yard as many times as you can. That is the fun bit!
Keep them coming - form is temporary but class is permanent - cheers mate that will pay for my day out in the lakes tomorrow !!
http://www.foxtrotracing.com/nh-syndicates Check this page out Florida. I reckon this will be yet another successful venture for this syndicate. (provided Nass isnt involved)
I'd say that he'd be a good laugh, and to be fair to him he doesn't have much ammunition in the yard. If you want a laugh I'd suggest Fergal OB. As Stick says, id recommend Foxtrot too, as long as they don't have shares with me or Stick!!
The good thing about the Murphy filly is that the horse is leased, not purchased, so the only outlay will be training fees. All winnings should be retained by the syndicate and the trainer has a real vested interest to make the venture a success. I think Nass will also back me up when I say the syndicate manager is as nice a bloke as you could ever wish to meet.
Indeed, I'd say that you should go to whichever yard before spending and see what you think of them. If I'd have done that before the last one, I wouldn't have got involved. You live and learn!!
