Dribs is a legend on the Liverpool board, I wouldn't be surprised if the troops come after him and drag him back!

I don't like bitter. Horrible northern drink.

It's all about the continental lagers in the Beautiful South.

I think at times you're getting your posts slightly confused, and which board you're on etc. <laugh>

Not aware of Saints fans having much against Spurs anymore, their fans have mostly been gracious reasonable*; and we got over the sales by the next season. A minority of Everton fans were annoying for one closed season, I don't think we don't hold a grudge against the club, just their manager for being a liar.
Liverpool fans, however are obsessed with us, have been for years now and they're largely right morons about it.

*Indeed, Spurs is a club I'd like to emulate in many ways - in 14/15 they finished just 4pts ahead of us them in 5th, 5th/6th being their usual slot in the top 6 - since then they've smashed into the top 4 & look set to cement their place there. The club between us two clubs that same year was Liverpool, two points ahead. A club that in contrast we finished ahead of the next season...

Could we introduce your friend Dribbles to a chap called Singing Blue 3. I'm sure they'd end up going off into a corner and starting a forum all by themselves.

I prefer to think of it as spurs emulating us. Even stole our manager and staff to do it :emoticon-0105-wink:

Liverpool seemingly just want to copy the big spending ways of the Mancs etc, but as their top 4 rivals can outspend them it puts them at a disadvantage.
Spurs do things differently and are smart about transfers and developing players and is why they are doing well while Liverpool are still a laughing stock.

Good luck with that then. By the way I said 'Major' silverware. I don't doubt you might scrape yourselves through to the Europa League final again at some point. Congratulations in advance. But unfortunately your obsession with Saints might mean you're to busy notice.

Never heard this one before. It might even be funny if we didn't finish above you a season before, and of course knock you out of a cup semi-final this season, on your own doorstep. But keep trying fella... <laugh>

I just find it a little odd the reception that fans get when they come on to a thread that even has the clubs name in the title.

By far the most precious fans on not606.

I've got no issues with any of you lot, people just need to lighten up a bit. <ok>

I used to quite like Liverpool. I suspect most neutrals still do. I like the city of Liverpool too, despite the best attempts of the town planners to wreck the place. And I like most of the scousers I have met, despite the fact that they are rarely quite the comedians they think they are.

    However, two things are currently trying my patience;

    1) Every time I looked at a Liverpool team sheet in the last two seasons, I experienced a moment of disorientation, when I thought "hold on, that's our team sheet, not theirs".
2). Jurgen Klopp's glasses. Jurgen mate, they make you look a proper bell end.

Oh yeah, and all the banging on about the Beatles grates after a while. Preferred the Kinks anyway.

Nothing "faux" about it, pal. I have lived in and around Liverpool for more than 4 decades and hate the football team with every fibre of my being. Great city, lovely people and one decent football club.

Southampton fans feel a little picked on because the club they support continues to be sought to be picked apart. Every once in a while another video pops up regarding the quality of Saints squad if they were able to keep all their players. We say... YES, to that.
So what we are saying is... go and find another club to pick on. We'd like to continue to build something here, thanks. We don't need any other club's money. We haven't for half a dozen seasons or so.
We know why the bigger clubs [and most certainly Liverpool] find Saints so attractive. We're dangerous, and we've been showing the signs for several seasons [which was why Leicester were missed, as they came out of nowhere - they're not missed now]. We could, given a sniff of a chance, come bounding in and upset the big clubs, by getting in-between them. That allows us to grow, which means we could pay players more. But if we're cherry picked of our most effective players, that not only potentially improves the buying club, but keeps us at the bottom of the Top 8. Less competition is great for the big clubs. Very bad for football though.

It used to be a compliment. Now it's a pain in the arse. Find another club. Let me nominate Celtic for you.

I've always lived by the rule that, if a stray animal turns up at your door, you don't feed it or show it any attention, or it is likely to keep coming back, whilst using your garden as a toilet.
Some need to consider taking the same attitude towards the visitors we get on here, because when all is said and done, and despite their claims to the contrary, they regularly default to WUM mode.
