I'm not sure Vettel's was related, he was locking up that tyre throughout the stint, I think he just locked up one time too many. The delamination was different to Kimi's.

well, so much for Ferrari's decision to undercut and RBR's decision to cover. Some great racing in there, great recovery from Bottas, but even better from Ricciardo. now it's 3 drivers within a win of the lead.

Tyres have been generally good this year.

Must have been something on Ferrari's setup.

    All very strange though.

Just too early on the undercut imo, and as DH said, Vettel had been over-driving his car too much, at least 3 lock-ups, didn't quite do what Kimi did to his McLaren in Germany. I can understand why Vettel tried to fight Bottas, but he was never going to keep him behind for 10 laps.

Bit annoying a Government minister handing out trophy! It's not like they actually support the circuit or F1 for that matter!

As per normal, London gets more money spent on it. ;)

Per person spending is about 10% higher in London than everywhere else in England. Only topped by Northern Ireland Wales and Scotland!

    Good race though. :emoticon-0100-smile

Ferrari really screwed this up. As soon as the position to Max was lost they should have switched to a 2 stop. They were losing 1 sec a lap plus. Regardless though the Merc was miles ahead, just hope that doesn't decide the rest of the year! Lewis was cruising, frightening.

In relation to Max, the fighting is great but....Ern made the reference of 6 of one Etc - but there is no point in even racing if track limits are not implemented. You can not go off the track onto the grass then rejoin and have an inside line for the next corner. We now live in a world of the corner is never lost, just hang on round the outside and argue you have been run out of road.

It's irrelevant of which drivers are involved, it needs to be resolved.

Good race, bit of drama at the the end. Ricciardo saved it a bit as a tv spectacle I think.

It's now game on in championship too.

A few laps later when Vettel had another look Max did his usual weaving, I'd like to see them give him a drive-through next time, but they won't.

Watched the start and a few laps, but was falling asleep so I went out. Is it worth catching up on?

Well going into the mid season break there is only 1 point between Lewis and Vettel, with Bottas doing a really good job too. Fingers crossed and lets hope for a cracking, fighting finish to the season.

Yeah it was pretty entertaining! If you caught the early laps, perhaps just watching the last 5 or so might be sufficient.
