After a week reflecting on it. I don't think it warrants more punishment. He was given the maximum penalty other than a DSQ. If he had caused Hamilton to actually crash then yes he should have been shown a black flag. Maybe the penalty given doesn't seem a big deal because of Hamilton's head rest issue.
I'd agree. By right hamilton should be leading WDC right now and laughing his dirty tactics worked a treat. All the pressure should be on vettel but right now he's still in the lead and can fob off this minor controversy
Vettel isn't new to controversy. This is nothing for him. The fact he isn't on social media to see the tripe people post is good for him as well.
multi millionaires shouldn't really bother should they... either that or they should post pictures of their fellow drivers with bunny ears and be accused by the press hacks of disrespect As long as they go to either extreme i am entertained. woe betide us if they were all damon hill's... Bit of fire is exactly what we need
Duped by morons on twitter. Sorry... - Going to refrain from posting anything until we have an official FIA statement. But reports that Sebastian Vettel has been disqualified from the Azerbaijan GP.
politics you see.... mr hamilton gets promoted up but cos he wasn't on podium its "not so bad is it" the classic way of doing business. We all feel good about ourselves again. Lesson: next time put him in the wall mr vettel at least then you can drive to end then complain, get disqualified and retain the lead.
Getting a DSQ for Baku isn't all that painful for him if that's what it turns out to be... It could be worse, It could be a one race ban.
Where have you heard this EMSC? There are a couple of inaccurate, sensationalist guesses from the gutter press and a subsidiary of one of them but reports from both The Sun and The Mirror suggest the journalists do not even understand the basic process. In my opinion, these reports are the result of the worst aspects of journalism: a persistent digging to persuade a minor by-stander to make some 'best guess'. Personally, I wouldn't trust any premature ejaculation from The Mirror or The Sun – or any outlet which repeats their garbage. Of course, such a guess may eventually be the outcome; but at the moment, so are all the rest of the possibilities!
To be fair, I should add that poor journalism is not confined to the two British rags I've mentioned. It happens elsewhere too. – And some of them even seem prepared to invent 'proof'. Without wishing to repeat a now popular but over-used Trumpism, it smacks of 'Fake News'.
I seriously can't believe he got away with it. Hamilton hardly even gets a mention in the report and certainly didn't get further sanctions. Typical.... please log in to view this image
Fair play... He admitted responsibility and apologized. I'd say he tackled that in the best possible way.
The way I read it he said sorry and Todt said he isn't allowed to drive safely for the rest of the year.
