Went to the game yesterday, and looking at the 2 sides warming up, and the size and age of Liverpool I thought we would be up again it. Unfortunately I had to leave at full time, as I had gone on my bike and had no lights with me, which was a bad decision and I got absolutely soaked, and the ride home against a head wind most of the way back to Pocklington was not a pleasant experience. Even though Liverpool had the better possession in the early stages, once City got the goal, which was a really good run of Bowen from the left who shot, and the keeper could only parry, and Hinchliffe was following to slot the ball home. 1-0 City. After that City matched them all over the field and half time came with little threatening from Liverpool. Second half started brightly by Liverpool and they pushed for the equaliser, and it duly came on 51 minutes when Ojo, who looks a very dangerous winger, put in a cross from the left and Vitrue slide in to put the ball passed Andrew. 1-1. The rest of the half was very much end to end and both sides had chances but neither could get the winner in the 90 minutes, and balance City had the better chances, and overall the performance was excellent against a very good Liverpool side. I really entertaining game, and City really gave it a good go. Bowen had to go off injured, hopefully it will be nothing serious. Unfortunately I had to leave in the pissing rain at that point, and obviously found out it finish 2-2 after extra time and we were beaten on penalties.
I found out yesterday why Ter Horst loan to York City was cancelled, he has been found guilty of drinking an driving and lost his licence for I think it was 18 months.
Is that definitely true? If so I say sack him and put him in the "What a ****" thread. Can't abide drink/drug driving.
