Kilimanjaro has a light dusting of snow and only because it is a few thousand feet up and feckin cold at the top so not exactly readily accessible to the local Tanzanian who fancies a go at tobogganing.

We all had a right snowball fight last time I reached the summit m8. Lasted for approximately 13 minutes. We laughed, fell over, rolled around, made snow angels and basically had a very good time.

I remember leaving and thinking, wow! If Africa is this much fun they must be the happiest people on the planet.

 

You are prone to lie. Frequently may I add.

Pics or it didn't happen. I don't dispute there is snow up there but the only locals enjoying the festivities would be the sherpas who lugged all your gear up to the top. Africans are not exactly well known for their winter sporting prowess but they do have their own camping shops I suppose.

Regarding happy Africans there is some truth to it as every time some poor sodding stand up comedian has to go to Chad or Burkina Faso to film for Comic Relief the little tykes are all running around laughing and playing football wearing old Eric Cantona tee shirts. Obviously before malaria and malnutrition set in.
