Apparently he is in talks with NUFC to terminate his contract early. Good riddance. It allows his space to be take up by a player who wants to play for us. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...eick-tiote-talks-newcastle-terminate-12440975
I will always remember his goal against Arsenal though and the other one against Man City that should of been a goal please log in to view this image
His time has come and gone, we need to find another player with real quality in this area of the pitch.
Most annoying fan trait of all time. He was a bargain at 3m. I just wish we'd sold at his peak but hindsight is a wonderful thing. If the likes of Ba, Cabaye hadn't ****ed off for money, and HBA had stopped eating, that could have been a tidy nucleus for a number of years. He never seemed happy once Cabaye signed for PSG.
Yeah gotta say I hate it when the whole crowd is screaming shoot, I get its only a bit of fun and everyone loves to see the ball rocket in from 30 yards but it 100% puts players off and disrupts build up play.
The only positive is that if we are releasing Tiote we will/should have someone lined up to replace him, I highly doubt Rafa would allow him to move on (even as only a squad player) without a replacement coming in! And thank god Cleverley has gone to Watford, could not bare to see him at the club! Not much been mentioned about Delph recently and we are generally pretty good at keeping transfers quiet...
He's been a bit of a mercenary really, hasn't he? He must have wanted away for about the last 3 or 4 seasons. Too many injuries and suspensions and while he could tackle hard, his passing was largely atrocious. Getting rid should free up £50k per week or so off the wage bill which has got to be good for Rafa's squad building, either now or in the summer.
strange player ... did well at the end of last season .. then comes on as a sub this season and looked as if he had never kicked a ball before ..
