Sorry but Wenger screwed up regarding Gnabry. A better prospect and overall player than Oxo and Welbeck but somehow we lost him on the cheap?!?! How on earth did this happen when he was showing so much promise? Wenger has stuck by ****tier players yet let him go. It's obvious that not enough was done.

Unless you're part of the back room staff, there is no way of knowing this. Arsenal has mismanaged many other players regarding injury and tying them down to contracts.

Well,if you followed arsenal during the preseason and euros, youbwould be hearing how gnabry was doing better then was successful in the olympics and was now tryimg to grab a place for us coming from the club.

Not a big regret,if gnabry was english and ox german we would habe kept the former then..Once Iwobi starts finishing, most people wont mind here...We have hardly lost the next ronaldo, messi or even robben or ribery.

    We did what we could.

Here he himself is crediting us with goodwill.

Constantly? I only remember him having one serious injury which kept him out for ages.
He played one prem game out on loan...
Did he? If he did fair enough but I can't find any evidence of that. You got a link to this disciplinary problem? All I can find is a Pulis quote questioning his match fitness, with him saying "Serge has come here to play games but he just hasn’t been for me, at the moment, at that level to play the games. He’s come from academy football and not played much league football".
Did we? When was he given game time with us to show form and fitness when he didn't play a game for us after 2013/14 season??

Pulis essentially said he had a bad attitude and was fat. Which he was. Maybe the shame of not making a Pulis team was the kick he needed as from then on he seemed to do brilliantly for Germany. I don't doubt we'd have offered him a new contract but what can you do if he makes it clear he won't sign?

You're not the boss of me...

I did dig back though as I was intrigued. Made up the fat part but if you look at the pictures back then I stand by that comment! I definitely read somewhere about there being an attitude issue/feeling he deserved a starting spot. Did find this:

“Serge has come here to play games but he just hasn’t been for me, at the moment, at that level to play the games.

He’s come from academy football and not played much league football. Does academy football really prepare players for league football? And we’re talking about Premier League football here.

“As a manager you pick a team that’s going to win a game of football. You pick your best team, you don’t leave people out because you don’t like them, because of this, that and the other.”

I don't believe he didn't play because of his ability. He proved with us how good he could be. West Brom was a chance to prove himself and it looked like he made little effort.

The question is why would Wenger send his players to Pulis? His brand of football is diametrically opposed to how we play. Pulis would make Messi lose interest in football.

We should take a cheeky punt on Di Maria whom psg have publicly accused of being not attached enough though he still has stellar worldclass stats, there is competition for him.

We can replace alexis' quality that we lost on the wing and Iwobi,Ox amd Walcott can fight for the one spot and if Di Maria is injured.

It could be such a booster and title winning move,40m can get us him..he is still 27 or 28 only

I doubt we will add another wide player. Walcott is scoring goals at the moment. Especially considering Wellbeck will be back in the squad soon.

If we were to add another in that position my first choice would have to be Griezmann (who can play up top/no.10 and WF) He may be expensive but the fact remains Athletico will always sell their forwards for the right money.

Apparently Draxler will be available for around 25-30 million after falling out with staff at his current club.

A few years ago, I was a big fan of Draxler but it's fair to say he hasn't lived up to his potential. However Wenger did show an interest in signing Draxler so I wonder if he'll be back on the shopping list.

Is he really what we need though? I'm not sure, personally.

I remember when we were linked to him years ago when he played for Schalke.

Admittedly, we are over stocked in the winger/midfield department. But he would provide depth to our squad. He plays as a winger and No10. I can see him being used on either wings for Arsenal. It would be good to give Walcott some competition. Iwobi and Chamberlin are already competing for the left flank. Imagine Draxler and Bellerin down the right wing.

He could also easily interchange with Ozil.

He's only 23. Ozil has got a good few seasons left at his peak. Who better to be his understudy than his fellow German?

It makes too much sense to buy him. I can't see why Arsene would miss out on this opportunity.

I think a lot of this all depends on not only whether Ozil signs a new contract, but the futures on Wilshere and Ramsey because let's be honest, none of us know what position they're going to be deployed or whether either will be first-team regulars/second string players. I wouldn't be against us buying Draxler because he's a quality player, but I just don't see this move happening under Wenger if it potentially ruins Wilshere/Ramsey's careers at Arsenal.

I think Draxler would play on the wing at Arsenal.

Wenger seems to have a love affair with Ramsey and Wilshere. I know they've both had setbacks in their respective careers due to injuries, but how long do we have to wait for them to finally live up to their potential?

Arsenal have held onto deadwood too many times throughout the years and it has been to our detriment when we miss out on quality players. I'm presuming Wenger is preparing Ramsey for Cazorla's role as he's getting on (unless Xhaka is the planned replacement).

Wilshere I can't see getting back into the squad to be honest.
